I am not threatened by the truth... I am of the opinion that is it not true what they say in the YouTube clip. How can I be threatened by something that is not true?

What I am saying is that I do not see evidence of a fertility rate of 8.1 for muslims anywhere, and that it is impossible to have a muslim majority in the Netherlands or Belgium by 2025.

Fair enough! It's just me but I personally find all the Thai BG shennigins of trying to snag you as a boyfriend, husband mullarkey a pain in the backside and for me it still boils down to the money in the long run.

I can do without the banging on the door at silly o'clock to see if I have someone with me. The 'idle' but silly threats of 'I kill you' etc if she see's you with anyone else. I know it's all a bit of an act but I could easily live without it and usually just ignore it now with a shrug of the shoulders and a quick "Up to Me!".

Horses for courses but I much prefer walking into a bar, selecting the girl I want to buy a drink for and a chat to see if I want to progress. Then taking her back to mine for a good time and seeing her off in the morning without her thinking 'Keeeerching' and running what colour curtains for the new living room and the name of our first child through her head.

I absolutely see what you're saying Jaybee - and i do agree. but you have to admit its very hit and miss (and mostly miss)...

also with regard to the likes of Natasha from Yoshka Ola vs Choi from Mueang Loei; i can't say for sure but my (pure) guess would be perhaps Natasha in dubai has a better grip on reality than Choi? and also does not fancy selling herself (and her life) short by committing herself to the best part of a lifetime with someone who she doesn't love (or probably doesnt even like). Natasha will do her job and make good money. kind of like a stripper - what kind of stripper is going to be interested in a sap like me throwing $20 notes at her, sitting in a chair drooling. not such a great way to meet a potential partner... (not that on a personal level i would ever consider wasting so much as $5 in such a place as a strip bar 5555)

But Choi doesn't see it as selling herself short, she'll be making heaps of face with this average guy on an average (western) salary, no matter what he looks like or what his personality is. Natasha would probably be embarrassed to take most of her customers back to her home town if somehow she had to... but perhaps the difference is at least Natasha has somewhat better opportunities in her country of origin (and also various ways out of it), if she choose to take a different path after X amount of time in the p4p arena - Choi doesn't have this option, as after seeing the bright lights of patts/phuket/bkk she wont want to go back to a life of squaller and trying to figure out how she's going to take care of her family on 5k a month. snapping up a farang would be an ideal solution to all the problems. Natasha doesn't really need to go to those lengths. my guess anyway...

Having done some further investigation, I agree with you, Warrior, that the youtube video "Muslim Demographics" contains a fair amount of alarmism, some distortion or referenced material, and a number of false claims.

I think this source gives a much more balanced picture. Do Muslims Have More Children Than Other Women in Western Europe? - Population Reference Bureau

In particular, it documents that the birth rates of Muslim women tend to fall over time, as they acclimate to the culture of their new countries. However, it does also document that Muslims in European countries, including the ones who are 2nd and 3rd generation, and not only the immigrants, have approx. one more child per woman than non-Muslim European women.

So, while that video was apparently put out by an alarmist Christian group that would like you to have more non-Muslim kids, I do believe that there is a very large kernel of truth that they have built upon.

In particular, that is that 1)Muslim women in EU countries have a much higher birth rate than non-Muslims, 2)non-Muslim populations in EU countries are declining, while the Muslim population is growing, 3)In Europe, women with strong religious beliefs have more children than women who don't have strong religious beliefs, and 4)Muslim immigration to EU countries continues to be a factor in the demographics of EU countries.

With families having fewer children, and mostly wanting them to get good educations, and find professional employment, which is a trend I also see in the US, then immigrants come to fill the jobs of laborers, and workers in manual jobs. That is a trend that shows no sign of abating, as far as I can see. In the US, that means more Latinos, and in the EU, it means more Muslims.

So, whereas, the time periods trumpeted in that video seem to be distortions, based on playing fast and loose with known facts, the overall trend they are pointing to, does seem to be correct.

PS have you thought about the fact that Choi comes from a different cultural background where choosing whom to marry is not about emotion, not unusual to have her partner chosen for her? this can put quite a swing on the points you are making.

As for your thoughts on what they have come from and their desire to go back, I would think that poor Russian girls are even more happy to get away from home than poor Thai girls, and think a lot of Thai girls would rather be back in the villasge, fishing or sorting the crops, just depends where you are comparing Natasha and Noi coming from.

Thanks for the fact-finding! And, based on further research, I agree that the claim that a population of less than 6% could become 50% in 15 years can only be false on the face of it.

However, you did not consider immigration numbers. Nor are you considering that if the non-Muslim population continues to decline, and the Muslim population continues to increase, the numbers do begin to "snowball" at some point, since they are compounded from one year to the next.

I agree that, by any stretch of the imagination, 2025 seems like a sheer distortion of math, for a date when the Muslims would be in the majority. And, although many factors could change in the future, nevertheless, current trends would lead one to conclude that SOME DAY, if current trends continue, the Netherlands would have a majority Muslim population.

As I see it, when one segment of the population is declining, another will show up to step in and take its' place. I don't imagine all those houses and apartments going empty in the future, do you? And I don't expect to see a large decline in the population of the Netherlands.

So where will the people likely come from to take the jobs, and occupy the housing? It seems likely that they will come primarily from the countries where there is large population growth, poor economic conditions, and/or civil unrest. The countries which fit that description are primarily Muslim countries.

actually i didn't consider that point at all, it is an excellent point though and certainly does change everything.

i would think that in this day and age that most thai village girls do get to choose who they marry and do allow a decent amount of emotion into their partner choices. my ex's parents got married 35 years ago because they loved each other, neither had any money or real future other than working on their familes land. my mother inlaws mother didnt put any pressure on her to have a relationship or marry anyone she didnt want to.

but by the same token as your point suggests, i'm sure there still are plenty of families that do like to dictate to their daughters


i guess so. but russia isnt as poor as thailand... and there are more ways out of living in shit if you can get a head start (save a couple of grand in a years worth of p4p for example...). but the fact is that the Russian girls will be able to generate more money in their p4p career, enough to sustain a life where they definitely don't need a man around to take care of them. so they can definitely choose who and when they want to take a bf/husband, rather than like Choi who might base her bf/husband on a first come first serve basis.

but again by the same token, we all know the infamous 'Russian bride' just as much as the old thai bride... so tit for tat.

Some good points to mull over there our kid.

Having spent a bit of time in Kazakhstan I found, even though they were still selling themselves to make money! i.e. had a husband and kids at an early age and missed out on formal education to do the 'dutiful wife' thing, he's slapped her around a bit, gone on the vodka, lost his job and buggered off etc etc (Seemed a familiar tale) But I found that the girls just seemed to have a bit more about them in general. Do it for themselves and take a bit of responsibility even though all they had to offer was their looks, bodies and knowing the oil workers were far from home and had wads of cash.

By that I mean, they wanted your money, but didn't necessarily want you.

They were in the business to make as much as possible, as quickly as possible and get out. A couple of girls I met just wanted enough to enable them to hire a babysitter to allow them to study and get back to University. I know there are girls like that in Thailand but most, if not all, I have met have gone down the 'clingy, LT GF, Can I move in' path which I don't look for or want.

It that just being lazy? Let the new BF pay for everything while I watch telly, eat and open my legs on demand? Live happily ever after? I don't know.

It is just more grist to my personal mill that a relationship starts off in a bar as a financial transaction, may eventually 'blossom' into love in the sense I understand love! But is really going through the motions of 'love' as a couple as a means to maintain the financial drip, drip, drip of money up to the other 'hard up' folks far, far away?

Maybe it's because the East Euro girls have got something to go back to, make a go of it and maybe snag a new East Euro Husband, whereas the Thai girls haven't. Just the prospect of going back to what they left!

my opinion is it all boils down to education
i had a Polish gf for a year and fooled around with a Russian massage girl after hours
both were highly educated. my polish gf working a crap accounting job and the massage girl giving massages just to get ahead and hopefully break into what they studied at home

i think education is a very powerful tool that we take for granted so when you don't have that, you don't have as much self confidence that you can work hard and make it through
education is so much more than what is 2+2
i also think Eastern Europe still has that thinking that if you work hard it is possible to make a better life
