Can someone please tell me what the hype is about Marie. I finally contacted her (it took forever) and got an appointment. I go see her and I was spooked out when I walked into her appartment. I stayed for the session but I couldn't wait top get out of there..

My own experience with marie was that I called 10-15 times before I even got through to talk to her. Then it was a big chore to match up her time and my time for an appointment. Not worth the trouble.

What makes Maries place so creepy is that she gets all her stuff from thrift shops or dumpsters. I will not return because the place is so dreary and creepy.

If you would like an appointment with Marie, be prepared to call 15 or 20 times before you get one. Then when you do get to talk to her, she might tell you to call back in a few hour with the possibility of at the end of the wait. In my own experience I have actualy made it to the door for the appointment to be refused, one guy even reported that he had went for an appointment and seen lights and heard sounds from the appartment and no one aswered the door. Coming back a half hour later and ringing several times, he was told to buzz off. If you realy want an appontment with this girl, do yourself a favor and read all you can about her before you call.

Some people will be frustrated by her.

She is a very free spirit and choosy....

Its a hit and miss with her - does what she likes, when she likes and with who she likes - when she is in the mood ... and possibly when rent time comes around..

I would not say the place is creepy... artsy fartcy possibly....granola type possibly....she lives on the edge of the system..the very edge...

but a very nice person with some ...

Some people may call many times - best to have great phone manners and vocal charm, so she calls back...

Reading this review I just had to respond, not here to save Marie’s reputation but I had to say my 2 cents.

If you look at the girl and understands where she comes from, she may not have the money like other people say, and or probably she finds most of her furniture here and there or given to her, and even if it is from a dumpster, what is not good for one person, does not mean it’s not good for the other.

If it’s good for her, who am I to judge.

As for her availability, if I remember right it’s mostly in the morning to early afternoon, after that she is really dedicated to her Tango lessons, hopefully to become a great dancer one day. Well she has the body for it, she is about the same size and height of Diane (Heavenly Massage) small and thin, but weighs 60% more because of her muscular statue, I love that!

Every appointment that I set up with Marie, was never cancelled and even she did a special to see me when she was planning on going out. Why? I figure from the comments I got from her, was just the way I was dressed and treated her with respect, trust me guy’s we never say it enough, that comes a long way with girls. From what I understand just a clean white shirt is probably 2% of the people she receives.

Anyways when you get to know her, if she likes you,.. you will probably get 3 different phone # to reach her, in-case one does not work. Marie is still on my list for great gals to see for a super Thai massage.

And yes if it is your first time to reach her, have patience she is worth it.

I like my massages the same way I like my pizza, when I get cravings for it I have to have it right away or at least a short time later. To wait and get it later or to wait and get disapponted is not good, for pizza or for massage.

I met Marie several times (and posted reviews). She is one of my favorite.

Last time, I had to pay 125?
That was a bit of a turnoff.

She has a standard price, but when she need money for rent or to travel she ups the price. Her clients are an means to an end. As I have mentioned on a previous post, she could accept an appotment and then change her mind in the time you take to travel to her place. I am not the only that this has happened to, others have reported the same last minute refusal. The thing is, you are a client and thats all you are.
Maybe things are still good for her, but I suspect that her bad treatment of clients in the past will surely have an effect on her pocketbook. Clients that have had appointments refused at the last minute or have been over charged are sure not to return when there are better alternatives.

There are no mixed feelings about Marie, either you think she is the best thing on earth or you think she is a complete bust. As you know, I'm of the first group.

She is an extreme case of YMMV. And I'll tell you, YMMV does not only depend of the person you are but of the mood she is in on a given day. I can live with that as she gave me the very best thai I ever had. I recommended her to a good friend of mine (that I knew would respect her) and he told me he had a great time there.

But if you "use" ladies as you "use" pizza, if you want to control the exact time it is delivered and the quantity of each topping, go to ABACA (or any other strictly commercial office) or even better : DIY.

Now I have to add to my to do list : revisit Marie

The pizza anaology is very appropriate in this matter. I think I know one of the best places to get a good pizza in Montreal. At the risk of being called a shill, I highly recommend DiMenas on Jarry Street. They make a very good house pizza at a very reasonable price.$23 for a large pizza that will easily feed 4 people with 2 large slices each. Ask for the Di Mena Special Pizza.

Let me expand on the pizza analogy. If a place is known to have the best pizza in town but require extra time to prepare the special pizza, this would be acceptable. No client would put up with, maybe later, maybe tommorow, maybe next week. Nor would they put up with a promise of delivery and the pizza never arrives. Some people have described situations where they are given appointments by Marie and when they arrive for the appointment, it is not honored. They are left standing disappointed at her door step.

The bottom line is if you are willing to put up with this sort of behavior and possible disappointment, then accept her PMS personality. People have posted situations where they have or have not gotten good experiences from her. Why would I want to take a chance again to be disappointed when I know several good places that offer quality and consitancy.

Marie set the standards for the thai massage as far as I m concerned.She was(still is?) the best in Montreal when she broke onto the scene back in the late 90's.With her you would pay for, and get a thourough body to body massage for 50 minutes!!!
At the end she was totally exhausted and if you were a good boy she would invite you to take a bath with her!
She really put her heart into it and didn't make you feel like you just threw a brownie in the thrash can,unlike soooo many 20 y old primma donna clock watchers who will tit rub you for 10 minutes and sqweeze your wallet for the last penny.

All of the so called thai I've had since I first met Marie back in 99 paled in comparisons.True she was sort of a nutcase and unreliable but when you did get her on a good day you were in for a ride.

I miss her.
