To me being respectful towards others and respecting someone are two different things. In La Coahuila I've never ever thrown money at the mesero or chica when I've paid them. I will never do it. Heck I've never thrown my money or credit card at the guy in the local grocery store or wherever. I don't think this is cool and I urge everyone not to do this in La Coahuila or anywhere.

I also refuse to throw my weight around in TJ. I don't act like if I'm better than anyone there or scream at somebody for no reason. I don't want to be an ugly American. The only thing I do regret doing in la vida is sending this fichera in LA crying to the restroom. I bought her a drink and she started wheeling and dealing with my money. I don't remember too much, but I remember we got into a flame war. We didn't hit each other below the belt but it got nasty. She couldn't take it anymore and headed straight to the restroom fighting tears. I mean she is a human being so I wish I had handled it differently. I think I've learned because I take the high road when I come across this in La Coahuila.

So, yes I'm respectful towards others but I can't say others(CBP and LE) have been respectful to me. It's actually funny that meseros, chicas, ficheras, meseras/cabareteras, and strippers(forgot to mention they were also part of La Vida) have been more respectful to me than those two by light years. It makes no sense.

The reason for my comment "respect is earned" is because like I said is different from being respectful towards somebody and because you just can't say I respect stranger A. You probably don't know stranger A enough to make a judgment and if you say you respect him it cheapens the meaning. For a lack of better words, respecting someone has a (more) deep meaning.

For instance, on these boards a guy with a few posts is not going to get any respect. It's until he gradually proves himself that he starts getting respected. I also think that if someone is going to say I respect some guy you have to know him. Here, while we all don't know each other we share something in common which is this hobby.

Guys post and you get an insight into how they are so we kind of do "know" each other. So yeah I can say I respect some guys around here. And that includes you Sampsonrico. You're very valuable to this site and you been tough but fair. IMHO you're the true King of TJ and I say it with the outmost respect.

For us San Diegans who frequent TJ almost everyweek, your girls would kill our budget for the entire month while as the SG and BGs we can come every week..... The only thing I ever said, was asked a guy what he thought GFE is...as he said he got it from a sg..and in 15 minutes which is impossible.
