Yeah, I was very honest with her, basically telling her I was broke. She even refused the last 500RMB I was going to give her. I told her if I did happen to make it big, I would come back for her, but I knew better than to make promises that I probably couldn't keep. Since she wasn't even 20, I can't even say I will marry her so she could come over and try to find work here. There was literally nothing I could do for her.

To be honest if some other guy comes along who is rich and wants to take care of her, I will be able to rest easy at night too. That's reality I guess.

Can one get a visa in HK to go to some of these cities easily? How long does it take. Looking maybe to spend a couple days in HK, then a few days in Houjie or Dong Guan or CP. Also, thinking about getting some golf in too. I know Mission Hills in Shenzen is quite expensive and semi-private, but heard there are some places in Zhuhai. Just wondering where the best combination of girls and golf would be. Thanks.

If I recall correctly, yes the sitting price was 200RMB... the other prices might have been teh standard 500/800 or 800/1000 I forget. And actually, it is a hotel too, though I guess the lobby must have been on the other side.

Thanks for the advice...I had followed this same advice while traveling in Russia also in years past until my traveling companion had his passport ripped off from hotel lockbox....c'est la vie...also....ask me sometime about hotel misadventures with my passport in TST East....

Just to let you know that I have been to China over 50 times so I do know my way around. I never take my passport with me unless I am leaving. Just make a color copy of your passport and take that with you so you will have an ID. It is a real pain if you lose your passport in China. I know because one of my friend had his passport stolen in China. Just some advice.

Most of the Karoakes in the hotels has a lounge area, drinks are around 35-50RMB, just sit at the lounge and the mamasans will bring a line up to you, take your pick but you need to make sure the product agrees with your proposal, just say you would like an ON or a SGL shot, usually works out 2x5x8, 200 for sitting, 500 for 1 shot, 800 for ON with 2 shots. Usually you will chat with her to see if there is "feel" then buy her a drink or just leave the lounge with her to have a meal or to a straight massage parlour. Make sure you note down her number and her mamasans name card, just in case she does something dodgy and you can complain to her mamasan.
Don't do this during HK public holidays or a Friday and Saturday, place usually be mobbed and your menu doesn't have much of a choice.

I think about every other time i go to China i have the same idea as you about helping some young and new girl get out of the KTV/bar scene.
You meet some really nice girls and feel sorry for them.
Then you meet the hard seasoned professional girls and its a different story.

While I don't doubt that this exists, that wasn't the situation for me. When my girl knew I wanted a second girl, she suggested I take a friend of hers from the lineup. My buddy though grabbed her instead, so I ended up letting her make the entire decision herself. Also, the second girl seemed to be the more experienced of the two.

The Fast Food Bruce Lee would eat if he were in China
There is a fast food restaurant chain called kung fu that is suprisingly good. You could recognize it by the red background and picture of Bruce Lee. Price is fairly cheap, and it was actually one of the better meals I had on the trip. And besides, who wanted to sip a soda from a cup with bruce lee on it?

The Shrimp is definitely Fresh
I tried Chinese BBQ, called Sao kao or something like that, and it was delicious. I hear it's only open at night, and I found it to be not only very tasty, but very lively as well. I also went back to the hotpot place and made the mistake of ordering the shrimp. Let's just say it's so fresh, it tries to get away... I just couldn't do it.

So you wanna a Chinese Cell Phone
At $3 a minute, my roaming U.S. phone bill was up to $70 by the third day. Every failed call, every call in, is another $3. I eventually gave up and bought a Chinese sim card which was 100RMB I think. I used up the minutes within a couple days, so I had to buy a recharge which consists of a piece of paper with a bunch of numbers I couldn't figure out... I made the girl in houjie do it for me. Having a cell phone made it MUCH easier to hook up with the girls.

Baiyun airport puts the CAN'T in Canton
Sucky. Everybody here is a moron and it takes about 3 hours to get to changping. Better just stick to HongKong then hop on a train or bus to come over. Pictured is changping railway station.

The Legit Saunas are a steal
I gotta say, while I was pissed at the higher prices, the saunas are still a realtively good deal. For about $20-30, you get to use the sauna room, pools, showers, get a massage , etc. I think the same services in the U.S. would easily run over $100.00. It's a great way to kill time/recharge until you are ready for action again.

I didn't try it, but I saw what appeared to be REAL pfyzer viagra at the local convenience stand. I have no idea if it's real or what it runs, but if I had more money I would've tried it and had some more fun.

Fast Food Takeout Style Girls
I was suprised to find there was incall service for girls that can be had for a measly 150RMB (about $23 US). It is fairly underground though. The mama san came with two girls, and all of them (including the mama san) looked like teenagers, though you could tell by their voices they were older. I will guess, they can't afford the nice make up and they grew up with bad nutrition. None were particularly pleasing to look at, so she called two more who came about 15 minutes later. Of these two, one was OK (for sure better than the Hua Mei girls) and my friend chose her. I didn't try it, but I hear it's take a shower, do your business quickly, and the girl is gone. I am sure getting the numbers for this kind of service is difficult and probabaly only known by locals... and no, I don't know the number.

Wrap up
Well, that's about it this time. I was pretty broke and pretty busy with work, so I didn't get to party as much as I wanted too. I actually semi-hooked up with a peppy 18 year old girl who I found out was crying while giving me a head. We kept in touch and saw each other a few times after that, and I developed something of a friendship with her, but I felt really bad she was crying... if I had to guess, she had never done that before. And no, she did not ask me for money or to marry her and support her.

In general, it's easy to forget that alot of these girls are really from poor families and just trying to survive, especially since alot of the girls there are now vets who have been there for two years or so (most girls this time were like 20-22). From what I hear the money they make is way better than a college graduate can make, so I got to wonder... what happens to them?

A girl I met last time now has an office job and became the front woman for a hong kong investor who wanted to open a business. Another I knew became an assistant manager for the girls, which, while not high paying, can lead to management which is very high paying.

When I asked the peppy girl though, she said she did not know what she was going to do, and had no idea what she would do if she would quit. I asked her about college and she said it's not that she didn't want to go, she just does not have the opportunity.

The last night before I left she came to see me and holding her, I told her I was worried about her, and that I wished I was rich and could take care of her (I wouldn't mind a bed buddy mistress) but I was in no position to. In the end, she had to leave to work the karaoke, and I had to pack to head back home.

It made me realize though, that I NEED to be rich. Seeing the people in China, everybody lives their life trying so damn hard, whether it be the service people or the already rich bastard trying to get even richer. I feel like I have been wasting my life since I haven't been living that way and jsut been loafing around.

The fact that I met a girl I wanted to take care of (not to marry, probably jsut keep as a gf until she finished college and then me and her go find new partners) and knew I could not, and had to watch her go back to a job where she would probably be crying in some other mans bed just killed me.

Maybe I f'd up and I shoudln't have gotten that close to begin with, or maybe I should've just stuck with the experienced looking girls who were willing to do what it takes to get my money.

I really don't know, and despite everything, here I am back in the U.S. as a broke entrepreneuer. Once again, I feel like China has changed me, and I feel like working hard so I can live the kind of life I want to... whether it be taking care of the girls I want to, or just having enough time and money to have fun in changping, houjie, or wherever like I really want to, WITHOUT having to calculate conversion rates in my head first.

Since my friends were complaining so much about the demise of changping (they changed their minds by the end of the trip btw) we went once to a place in Houjie. I forget the name of the place, but it was not the sheraton or the cinese.

The area you pass on the way from changping is FAR nicer than changping. There is nice little model homes and apartments in Dongguan City and I think DongCheng that are nicer than most of the places in my area in southern California. It's no wonder this is the area the ex-pat's live.

Anyway, the Houjie area is very industrialized, and it seems like, unlike changping, all the little shops are closed by evening time. The streets have these weird arches over them and the roads are much wider.

I was expecting to see only 3 hotels, but there are many many many more. I don't know if they all offer extra services, but the way to tell is if they have a karaoke or night club, I hear. I saw one or two that definitely looked completely legitimate.

Anyway, the one we ended up at was vegas-nice. Big gold doors , plush lobby, etc. The karaoke too was pretty huge. After a couple rounds of girls doing their roll call, they invited us to walk around the place to check out the girls walking around. They were everywhere. It was almost too much selection to make an accurate judgement.

Also though, the chicks here cost more. To sit is 300rmb, one shot is something like 1000RMb, and an allnighter was 1200rmb I think. And while the girls did seem to have the appearance of having nice asses (rare in changping) I think it was only because they are probably using special panties or something.

I actually did manage to snap a photo of the girl I chose, who btw had a special badge indicating she was on her period. She must have went in and deleted it it later since it was gone afterwards. Also, she showed me her pictures and I saw a guy and asked if it was her boyfriend, to which she said yes. Nonetheless, we still did all the normal semi-groping/hugging anyway... there were no secrets about who was there for what that night.

Also, I didn't get a photo of the sign, but my friend thinks it was called Jia Hua in chinese. I remember in English it had like 4 words and sounded fairly imposing.

Personally I didn't think it was worth all the extra money, but it IS different.

Hahaha !! Jokes Aside, There isn´t really a strict dresscode in these KTV´s.
Not any that i´ve been found out anyway. I´ve been in these places, casual dressed in like Jeans and T-shirts or high class like Coats and tie. it doesnt really matters the only thing that matters is you´re going there and spending money thats the only thing those places care about. but you sure make and good impression on the Girls and the mamasans that you look good and care about yourself with a coat (Skip the tie) if you dress nicely then like a slob.

Here is two pics of girls I got at various other karaokes in changping. The prettier one had a super pretty face but she also had man hands and I can tell she had some huge hair follicles on her arms and legs, though the hair ws shaved. The other girl was not my type at all, but someone else chose her for me. She had a nice set, but I am not a chubby chaser.

There are also some pics of some places I did not get to visit. The KTV and American Bar are located perpendicular to Miraton hotel. The weird neon thing was a club (rave I hear) near Jiayi hotel (described below). The "cat bar" was the only bar I saw in changping , though I didn't get a chance to visit. I also snapped a picture of the Virgin Hotel (don't let the name fool you) which I did see some pretty girls walking around... though they might have been coming from hui hua.

Also, I checked out the show at a karaoke at Jiayi hotel (not pictured), better known as "Taoyuan Recreationtown". The show was pretty bad, but one dancer was probably the prettiest or within the top three prettiest girls I have seen in ChangPing. Also, the mama sans are VERY aggressive there. They will sit girls with you and make them touch you etc. You tell them to leave and they will STILL try to hang out.. I guess hoping you change your mind after a drink or two.

Supposedly this is one of the better places as well, but it didn't really float my boat.
