When you first introduce basic Mathematics to a 19th month old, What do you teach

first? I know this question sounds strange. However, my beautiful daughter is 19 months old. She is EXTREMELY smart for her age. She definately out ranks every child she has has ever met, in Language development, and Mathematics. I am not saying this to sound vein. I'M SERIOUS. Please no negative comments. When my daughter was born, I hung around alot of other mothers who had babies around my daughter's age. My feelings would get hurt, because the other kids, were doing so much stuff physically than my daughter. For example My daughter never crawled until she was almost 9 months old at that time, the other kids were already walking along the couches! Anyways, it all started when I got my daughter a stuffed elephant that was pink, and it sang the ABC's. She was FREIGHTED by it. I put the elephant away because she would cry and scream bloody murder everytime the elephant sang. Than I noticed, it wasnt just the elephant, she just HATED the song. PERIOD.
She would flip out, if ANYBODY sang it, even me!!!

But I didnt know I was in for a suprise! One night, I was giving her a bath. She was playing with her toys. She than began counting. ON HER OWN, assuming she learned it from her toys, she has this camera that counts. At 10 months old she could count to 5. So, since she showed a HUGE interest in numbers, I went along with it. I wanted to feed her as MUCH information as POSSIBLE because she did show interest in it. Now she is 19 months old, she can count to 25 in English, 10 in Spanish, and 10 in Greek.We came along way. I did ALOT of numbers with her. She also can count on her fingers (but only to 5 on one hand, she doesnt quite get the concept of 10 on the fingers) She can identify each number if written down. I do not have to say it. I can write the numbers down, and point to it and ask what that is? and she will answer correctly.
She knows her basic shapes, square, triangles, and circles.
She also, knows basic colors and how to identify them. Yellow, Red, and Green (so far).
Lately she has been taking a HUGE interest in space. She knows how to identify the Moon, Sun, Stars, Earth, Rainbow, Clouds. without being told. I take her outside everynight, before bedtime to look at the moon and how it changes shape! SHE LOVES IT! It's a huge part of her bedtime routine.
I am also working on introducing the solar system.
She has a extremely extensive vocabulary, and is using short sentences. I have also noticed, that all the kids, in our mom circle, even 2 and 3 yr olds, dont know how to talk as well, if at all honestly. Most kids her age can only say maybe 20 basic words.
My daughter can sing twinkle twinkle, and This little piggy (on her toes) I dont remember the name of the song...but you know, this little piggy whent to the market, this little piggy had bread and water, this little piggy had none. etc....Her vocabulary is probably up to the 150-200 word group.
and she can speak short sentences. Almost everyone she meets is astonished by how bright she is! Even our Pediatrican! Which my daughter calls her Doctor. Very cute! My problem is, this. I want to go further with math. I just dont know where exactly to start. She can do basic counting. However, I dont know what I should start with first. Like how to tell time? or Basic Addition? Counting Money? I dont know which one should go first. I really dont want to confuse her, because she is sooooooooo Interested in numbers, I dont want to mess that up for her. So i'm looking for suggestions, to keep her interested and not so bored with just counting. I try to make it really fun. I do groups of 5 numbers at a time.
If anybody has ANY suggestions on what they did with their children at a young age, I know there are tons of mothers out there that have a child like mine and what can I do to start with introducing Mathematics. Would be GREAT!
