OK. Of course your friend´s friend doesn´t have to be your friend too. But imagine you have just met a nice person, you guys are starting a fine friendship, and then you see one of his friends is one of those chirstians who hate LGBT people. Would you continue trying to be a friend of that person?

Anyway, if you continue you´ll meet that other person near him at least sometimes.

kill him with kindness! I know a ton of people who say they hate gay people ( which btw is not just christians..) but they really don't. For instance, they may not like a certain person because of their personality or something so they just generalize it. I mean, come on, who wouldn't love the guy on glee?!? I would just give it time and be nice to them back even if they have that little attitude about them. After awhile, most people will think to themself "All I have been is mean to them and they just keep being nice to me"- they'll realize they are in the wrong and you can be friends!
