We decided to contact Easy Dry for a free sample back in January.
It arrived 4 weeks later after several phone calls and emails to the MD.
To be honest it was not a lot of help as it was only the size of a tea towel!!!

10 days ago we asked them to give us some more info on their trial boxes and we are still waiting!!!!!

Has anyone else contacted them?

It seems to be quite an innovative product but I am losing patience with their customer service.

I've had direct contact with Anne (MD) on several occasions and found her to be incredibly helpful. I love their products, I use the Black Bath Towels, Standard Towels and Small Towels every day. I'm currently evaluating a towel for shaves and a couch cover for waxing.

I use LOTS of fluffy, black towels (I used to use white but they stain terribly with essential oils).
Obviously I change the towels for each client, so I have lots to wash each night, but it's worth it to make the client feel pampered.
Also use a heated blanket underneath when it's really cold outside.
I always warm my oil too before using it.
And check that the client is the right temperature (too hot can be as bad as too cold).

Mancalty - love the fleece idea. Which chainstore can you get them from please?

I got a nice fleecy blanket from Primark - about £3 I think. I've thought about using them instead of towels, but thought it might feel a bit icky with oily skin. Maybe using it as one layer rather than two is the best answer.
They are lovely and soft, and as fleece is synthetic I guess it would wash better than cotton towels.

I'm still studying for my Swedish Massage Level 3. I bought a massage bed which I'm very pleased with (Ebay) and have used for family members.

I wasn't planning to buy special towels just yet but I saw a great offer in a shop yesterday - 3 bath sheets for a tenner. They are Hot Pink in colour. I also bought a pillowcase in the same colour (just in case someone wants a pillow) and a couple of handtowels to match.

I'm planning to put one bath sheet on the bed and 2 across the client. I may invest in a towelling-type bed cover as well.

I also hate that couch roll. We use it at college and are also taught to put a piece of it on the floor for client to stand on. IMHO it just looks messy and it either sticks to their feet or is so light that it disappears under the couch.

Twohoots, we have to provide slippers for our college clients to use (Matalan had plain mules for about £3) and use a bit of sticky tape to stick a square of couch roll to the step we have for helping clients on to the couch. I can see that having a bit on the floor wouldn't work!

Matalan have some lovely fluffy towels - ive just bought some and they have washed really well and come up nice and fluffy in the drier, Ive just got some nice warm fluffy fleecy type blankets too - they feel absolutely gorgeous. And if you are a student you can get a nice 10% discount with your student extra card - If you have not got one, I would recommend you pay the £11 to get one as I have saved this plus more on one set of purchases from this store, and many others (including £4 off a nice dress from town)


Good thread by the way ........... I have always been told to use the paper rolls for hygiene and so the client knows that you are being hygienic - as you have to change the paper for each client, as it becomes messy etc.

How could you tell - as a client - that the therapist had changed the towel since the last client? And not just taken it off given it a good shake and turned it over???

Not that im saying you should do this of course!!!

By the past comments though, I think I am going to stop using paper roll (although to be honest its never bothered me when I have been receiving a treatment - never really thought about it) and just change towels instead.

If I ever get my own treatment room I will leave plenty of beautifully laundered towels on display. I know that still doesn't guarantee they are washed each time but if I were a client I'd be pleased to see that they had plenty and would assume they were fresh each time.

We decided to trial an Easy-dry couch roll which comes in sheets that are slightly shorter than the length of our main couch.

We have been using these for full body massages and are very pleased with the performance. Our clients are all giving positive feedback. The sheets do not tear and the upside has a nice warming texture.

The roll is too wide to fit in the towel roll dispenser however, so we secure each sheet using pegs underneath!!!

It is expensive, but I do enough washing as it is and the used sheets will burn in our stove, so it seems quite successful.

Easy Dry - I too asked for a sample a few weeks ago and have heard or received nothing since.
They do not seem to respond to emails.

fozzyo,I wonder if Anne [the MD] is aware of the situation because it's awfully difficult for a company/service provider to repair a damaged reputation.

Shockingly bad service so far.Needless to say they won't be getting my money,or the potential revenue from the recommendations i might otherwise have given...

Urban-Hippy, we do still use couch roll for all of our shorter remedial appointments and it does the job fine. I just wanted a more luxurious option for 1hr+ treatments.

Massage Man, yes I was frustrated by their lack of communication too. I did place my order by email but then still had to phone them to give them my credit card details apparently due to an EU ruling for S.Ireland!

I use couch roll I used to use cheap cotten bed sheets in the summer, throws and fleeces are an option. I used to use the local laundrette and will again when my business picks up-it saves over use of washing machine which could not cope with heavy towels. My supplier is doing a deal of 9 couch rolls + 3 extra rolls for fifteen quid.

can i just ask, why are some people so against couch roll?

i think someone mentioned that if they went for a treatment where couch roll was used, they wouldn't go back. can i ask why? is it in case they are not changing the towels underneath and just changing the roll? i am at college at the moment doing itec and vtct massage and we are taught to use couch roll for hygiene etc.

when i do my practicing on people i usually use fresh towels for each person and couch roll as well...

also like the idea of having lots of lovely laundered towels on display...
