I believe you meant that Victoria would try to make sure we would miss her, as opposed to NOT miss her. Ie we don’t want anything else to do with her. I don’t think you caught that but I did.

Well, I think in this case it is just a common error that people do not have a second thought about. Eg “could care less” vs “couldn’t care less” mistake one often sees. Writers just do not appreciate precision in language as much as they have before.

… perhaps that’s her intention…

Spa girls can b strange … one girl I told I luved her soft lil girl voice when she’s being sexy … she got furious after a few minutes & it took awhile 2 figure out she thot I’d insulted her .. if I hadn’t kept digging, I woulda walked outta there bewildered why I got no action …. Other times, u mebbe look like her old boss that she hated… or she confuses u w another bad client …
