REGULAR Night Clubs ???????

I am looking for regular nightclubs that the locals go to, where reggaeton, rap, R&b, some spanish music are played. A place that I will safe, since it will be my first time in Costa Rica. My mind thought is that since i am 24 only, is to try hit the regular night clubs and try to get something for free if that doesn't work then hit the p4p scene.....I am eager to learn and also get some valuable advice from you veterans of San Jose. thanx....

Club Vertigo.

I went with one of the DR girls that I normally hang out with between sessions one night

Most if not all the bartenders frequent it, and its definitly a young crowd. I dont see why you couldnt pick up really.

I've heard good things about Vertigo. I was thinking of checking it out this Saturday.

El Pueblo complex is another good bet. It has several clubs and bars with all types of music. If you are persistent and have a good rap, you can definitely pick up.

Vertigo is nice as is Castros... There are a few in San Pedro as well. Im in my 20's to and frequent these places while I am there. Great spots for regulars. Not hard to get either . I was in a collared shirt, not sure about dress codes. I do remember it was relazed. I had on flip flops. go to http://www.vertigocr.com check it out. I went as late as 3 am with a friend after she got off work and it was open really late. good luck.

when will you be in CR? Do not go to Castro Bar alone if you don't speak espanol, it's 99% locals. El Pueblo is a great place to meet chicas. I have never been to Club Vertigo but plan on visiting on my next trip.

YOu don't have to go to clubs to try and pick up chicas, start at the airport and work you're way through Costa Rica. If you're young, decent looking and have a decent rap, you should have no problem meeting chicas. Pura Vida!!!

Thursday through Saturday nights at the new Fiesta Casino near the Airport the have live bands, young crowds of locals, and nice club atmosphere. Then in Escazu theres Rambla and "Orale" just to name a couple. Spanish speakers get farther faster as gringos in these places...

They are generally not as anal about dress code as some cities in the US. As a general rule, I would avoid shorts and flip flops. That probably also helps with the ladies.

I have not found a place yet were the dress code was not green. That would be a US Dollar green. I try to look my best where ever I go. It's just something I bring from habit in the states.

check out san pedro, there is a reggea club across form mall san pedro and about a mile or so from the mall there is two discos that all the college students go to one is called tavraua or somthing and the other is right down the street from there. the name of the street there on is sour street or bitter street but in spanish i just cant remember how to say it; all taxis sould now the name of street s long as you request for it in spanish. its a very popular place. friday and saterday these will be packed.

Calle Amargadura...full of the college scene. Lots of dive bars and very young crowd. Not for everyone...and little English spoken here. The street has also had a couple shootings and a number of drug arrests lately as police try to clean up that area a bit. Just be careful...and always go with a wingman...preferable a bilingual one.

There is thios Reggae place called "Raices" or Roots in San Pedro that caters to the Rastafaries.

For live Hard Rock to HEavy MEtal there is a place called, "Sands" right around the corner with really cheap beer that caters to the Under 30 crowd.

Are you sure you dont mean the under 20 crowd Kotigre? :wink: Nice to see you on the board again. That club is REALLY loud...can hear the music from blocks away some nights. Ear plugs recommended (I know, I'm showing my age..."huh? What did you say?"...)
