I've heard from an MPA @ Allure (I will not name her) that they do require a "doctor's note" if you are sick (nothing wrong with that), but have never heard that fines are imposed on them. If an MPA is sick, she has every right to stay at home until she feels better. But there are people who do take advantage of such situation's. Probably Allure is trying to cut down on the MPA's bad habit's because it does affect customer-service in the end. Once I stopped by there on the weekend and there were only 3 girl's working. Maybe the other 2 called in sick or there may have been some other reason. But this put's more pressure on the girls working there at that time because they have to cover for the missing girl's. On that ocassion, my session was slightly rushed but I did not take it too hard since she had never done that before. If an MP knows ahead of time that a girl will not be coming in, they can find other girls for coverage and also get less frustrated clients who make an appointment, only to find that the girl is a no show.
