Was there today. Small, cozy setup. Looks like 3 rooms, bathroom and shower to the back next to laundry. Towels were new, white, fluffy and smelled nice!

Not impressed, new - yes; but Durham premium pricing ($60 for 45 min), older MPA, massage is not great, rushed service - Markham/RH spas are so much better.

I'm not certain that these terms exist outside of Toronto, but as you know, semi-legit is massage plus happy ending. The classic semi-legit offered a handy at the end, which of course evolved to tits out & even nudity with the happy ending. In the restricted semi-legit, you may well be there mainly for the massage, with the HE just a natural conclusion, but when services get more sexual, that becomes the primary reason for the visit. Then we add body slide and nude reverse, and that became the primary reason for the visit, so we called it semi-holistic. We call a spa holistic if it offers full service, but again, it is mainly Toronto that we call it that. Holistic has a legal meaning having nothing to do with sex, and what we call holistic is actually generally called full service or full menu spas.

Those descriptions are close. It at least gets all the labels we're using. In general, available services have increased, so maybe the terminology has as well.

You're right, these terms are specific to the GTA. Probably with some variation outside of Toronto itself. And yes, the "holistic" licence is what most places get because of the limited number of bodyrub licences and all its extra requirements and costs. The licence type and the way we're using the term are not at all the same thing.

The usage as I understand it is:
Semi-legit: Management discourages BJ or FS, or doesn't want it openly discussed
Semi-holistic: Service depends on attendant. Ranges from nude/BS HE to FS, and management knows who offers what.
Holistic: everyone offers FS. The room may have a regular massage table, a wide and low massage table, or a bed.
