You've nailed it as has IL (as usual). I think back fondly to one MPA in particular that provided a great mental connection, we had mutual respect and experienced wholesome fun AND she was (and will always) be Hot as Hell.

Ummm maybe Im missing something here, but how does asking for/seeking/getting higher mileage keep you from getting attached? With higher mileage, you are engaging in more intimate acts...so how does that close the attachment gate? I mean you arent a 15yr old girl losing her virginity and getting attached...but still, that logic is a little far fetched is it not...?
