I've been submitting receipts for massages for years, most of them for straight massages, I'm not going to stop just because it is now more publicised than you can get sexual services in MPs. Anyway, it is known for years and years.

When you go to a MP, you pay and get a receipt for a massage. If you take extras, you pay and do not get a receipt for the extras. So what you claim from the insurance company is your cost for the massage only.

The insurance company does not care if you claim 50 $ a year or 1 000 $. Why is it so ? Because it's not their cost, it's your employer who pays. Can your employer blame you because you claim too much from the insurance company for massages ? No they can't. Your insurance plan (dental, medecine et all) is part of your employment conditions, just like your salary is. These conditions are clearly determined and if it allows you to be refunded for 1 000 $ a year for massages, you are fully entitled to claim that much. It's part of your remuneration.

When I want a massage+, I prefer to go to an indy. I prefer the intimacy of a indy over the crowd of the MPs. Maylee and Marie are my favourite ones. I don't like to share my shower with an other client. I don't mind sharing it with my masseuse.

Whenever noise is made it attracts attention. I have found thoughout the last 15 years or so of hobbying, whenever the media, either print or radio/tv, would shine a light on this secret hobby of ours, LE action would swiftly follow.

Years ago, MP's littered the North Shore, from St-Eustache to Terrebonne. These were the days before the fall of the Iron Curtain and the influx of Asians. The only massages you could get in Montreal were from physiotherapists. I remember an open line radio Show where North Shore MP owners were interviewed. Many arrongantly claimed they were untouchables because they only offered therapeutic treatment. Badabing badaboum! Within 5 Months most of them were gone, busted by an ''awakened LE''.

What does this mean now? Most of the places reviewed in the LaPresse article are in the Mile End-Villeray area. Coincidence? Hmmm....Let's wait and see....

Last summer there was a 2 or 3 part series of articles in Journal de Montreal about the FS stripclubs. I started a thread here about it to warn those who had not seen it in case of coming LE action. Nothing ever happened, no crackdown, no busts at all that I am aware of. Unless there are complaints filed, I see the same thing happening in this case...nothing.

Journalist are the parasites of society, they attatch themselves on to a situation and try to suck as much nutrients of of it for themselves. This story is not a situation that made the news, this is a situation where the journalist manufactured the story to be place in the papers at this time because it is a slow news day.
I have personaly been involved in 2 situations where the story was reported in the newspapers. I can tell you that in both situations that the news was not reported acurately. The journalist profit from their report of the story, while at the same time they judgementaly point an accusing finger at the people who are in the sex trade and the clients that patronize these women.

A rather puzzling, if entertaining, comment, johnhenrygalt. Harper moved to Alberta on graduating high school and is now the Conservative MP for Calgary Southwest. His first jobs were in that province, and he cut his political teeth there.

Do you know something the rest of the country doesn't know - Harper is representing his Calgary riding from Toronto? That would be a neat trick, even for a Conservative.

Maybe your confusion comes from not understanding that "home town" means the town where you currently live (i.e., make your home)? The town where you were born is your native town or town of birth.

Now, back to the point you claim not to understand. Compared to Montreal, Calgary is rather provincial and not without prudishness - ask anyone in Edmonton. And this kind of story, in which reporters feign disbelief that actual hj are being given in massage parlours, is worthy of the Calgary Herald, not La Presse or even The Gazette.

I stand ready to elaborate further if the point still isn't clear to you. You may disagree with it, which would be fascinatng, but we need to make sure you have the facts necessary to understand it first. So just whistle, OK?

I do not understand you question, do you mean if I have sued the journalist for reporting the information incorrectly? The answer is no, since I was aware of the circumstances of these 2 stories and was closely involved. I was not actualy at the center of the story nor was I the principal participant.
My point was, that I seen first hand how reporters jump in and take a quik look and report in the media as if what they say is actualy the gospel truth.

I'm with J. Peterman on this one. I believe that articles such as this are written in a way to sell newspapers and no other reason. There are always inaccuracies and the writers and editors are very selective about what facts they include and what facts they exclude. It's not just these writers and this paper. THey're mostly all the same. Barely one step above the National Enquirer

I too have experienced similar circumstances to J.Peterman wheer an article involving something I was a part of was written and I had to ask myself whether the writer was at the same event as me.

Let me explain... Not all but so many medias are twistfully changing the truth to write a crushy article. but the fact is how many people and families are suffering (unjudgmental) because of these twisted so call professional journalist.

but the worst is that there is a shit load of people who takes word by word what the medias are saying and they are judging other accordingly. THis is true until something hapens to them and there are on front page... But only latter to late when the real truth comes out, once someone life is riped appart to some come up and say 'we did not no the truth, only if we would of knowen'.

But lest keep in mind that there are good reporters out there. a few but some...

Every time I have had personal involvement with or knowledge of a media story, something (and usually several somethings) has appeared incorrectly in the story. Most times, though, it has been because of utter incompetence rather than premeditated malice. The media is looking for stories that will boost sales or ratings, and most of the people involved with the reporting are imbeciles. Just look at the gang on Pulse News - they make Ted Baxter (played by Ted Knight) on the Mary Tyler Moore Show look like a freakin' genius.
