Guys, I guess we don't have the same ethic measure. I pay for insurance and I consider I have every right to be refunded for money spent with a therapist. Usually, only the therapeutic portion of the service is claimed, but sometimes the full amount is written down on the receipt.
As for leaving paper trails, I am not hiding to anyone (my insurance company, my employer and, yes, my wife) than I enjoy having a good massage.
And by the way, I never had an official receipt contested by the insurance company. As long as the therapist is still member of an acknowledged corporation, they have no choice but accept it.
