This is not std and nor hiv for sure. Goto skin specialist as this is more like fungusyand nothing else.

I am not a medical professional but with whatever little I know, do the following.

1. Clean the area with water ..do not use Dettol or savlon.
2. Apply candid B ointment in the morning ( if fungal infection)
3. Afternoon , apply T- Bact ointment. On the affected areas.
4. Assuming no allergies present, ask him to buy FAS 3 kit. There will be 4 tabs. Take as directed ..1 table after breakfast or lunch , 1 after dinner and next day 1 after lunch and 1 after dinner. So in 2 days 4 tabs. In serious cases, doctor recommend 4 tabs in one day itself.
5. After above 4 tabs are taken . Next day onwards, take Norfloxin 400 tab after lunch and dinner. 2 per day for 10 days.

Things will improve.

Having, said, this is skin infection..and IAM no doctor so. Better to go-to a dermatologist or any mbbs doctor and take treatment.

No need to worry, as it looks like a fungal infection. So better would be go to any skin specialist instead of take any medicine form any medical store. Because there may be lots reason and types of these infection, so without wasting time go to the doctor.

Tell him to go to to doctor and get tested to ease his mind.. I think it was abt more than 20 to 30 days back..so u can test for HIV and herpes both. Even if u don't test and if its std u have to test some day.so why not do it now. It's not HIV I think..doctor will ease his mind.. just go to doctor.
