I have no respect for @JumpingJacj but there's an element of truth in what he's saying. Government's official statistics have revealed that more than 60% of rape and dowry cases filed in India are fake and the victims of most of these fake cases are well educated well earning boys from good families. If you are too good, even girls will take advantage of you. That is why they first demand on their matrimonial ads that the groom must have a lot of property, so that if there is a divorce, they get half of it.

Now they have started a new drama of 'Marital Rape Law' which means that men will no longer be guaranteed sex under the law, which was the case earlier. So all in all, women, be it married, unmarried, randi, non-randi, girlfriend and all shades and colors are trying to exploit men for their money. If the only option you give me is "either you suffer or I suffer", I will any day prefer that the other party suffers. The same girls who are giving blowjobs to multiple boyfriends and getting fucked by them before marriage are the ones filing fake rape/dowry cases against their 'good boy' husbands.

Girls of today are no longer the "aabla naari" you think them to be. I've seen good men lose their hard earned property to wives who were having affairs outside marriage, for no fault of the man. This is an unfair trading practice. If the whole market is ruined, then rape cases will increase. There must be a fairness for any market to sustain in the long run. From my experience, the only boys in our friend circle who got any action from their girlfriends are the ones who made their sleazy intentions clear right from the first day. I agreed with your point at the very beginning itself. Sex is a transaction and rape is theft, so I don't consider it a legitimate transaction or good behavior at all. Transaction only happens between two consenting people, otherwise it is rape. It's a different thing if the girl WAS indeed taking part in the transaction with the greed of getting something (like a struggler who sleeps with a director for a role) and then later claims that it was rape, just because she didn't get the role, I don't consider this at the same level as rape. It's a fraud transaction at best. Basically it's like you give your currency to someone and he runs away without giving you the goods. It should be tried under fraud laws. Calling it rape is taking it to a new level because the punishment for rape is very severe and the man didn't exactly force himself on the girl.
