I'm nervous introducing my best friend to guys I like..?

Okay so basically I'm pretty average looking. People say I'm pretty and stuff. I don't think I'm drop dead gorgeous but I know I'm not completely ugly. My best friend on the other hand is suuuuuuuper duper pretty and all the guys fall for her. She's popular too because she does cheerleading and gymnastics and she knows everyone at school. It seems like every guy I start liking is actually liking me back until I introduce them to her and it's like they're all of a sudden in love with her. And yeah it makes me feel like sh*t but she doesn't date them because of me and that makes me feel even sh*ttier. She has a boyfriend right now (yes I used to like him too) and I think everything's going fine with them so should I introduce her to my new crush this Saturday when I see him? I just... I don't know. I feel so selfish just saying "no you can't meet him" or something when she's dying to meet him. And I can't stop her from flirting... it's just her personality. What should I do?

I'm wickedly attractive so I pride myself on only hanging out with uglier girls so I dont have this problem. Get uglier friends.

The thing here is I would go out with the guy first than introduce him to your friend. Plus she should know better than to flirt with the guy you like, you go and tell her straught up that you don't appreciate that and she needs to knock it off because she has her own guy.

I CAN RELATE. haha i have a friend and i'm going through this exact problem. i'm uneasy about introducing her to the guy i like because i'm absolutely certain he'll go after her too... it sucks, doesn't it? ugh.
i would say don't introduce them unless you absolutely have to. i would let her know ahead of time that you do like him though. with my friend, i always tell her who i like first, and then we discuss him after we hang out with him. lol
but if you're afraid of him being instantly attracted to her like usual, try being more confident or outgoing. i think that's my biggest issue. my friend is a social butterfly and she's confident. i'm the complete opposite. i can be shy and i have barely any confidence.
just try to be more talkative and relaxed when you're around both your crush and your friend.

Why do you call yourself "average"? There's the problem. You have to stop thinking of yourself as some point on an imaginary scale. When the right guy comes along he's going to like you, for you, and won't care about your friend. However if you're not looking for a meaningful relationship and just want to date the "cute" guys for some kind of social status, then that's another problem in my opinion and you should stop being so envious. Look at the bright side, you just discovered some characteristics in your personality.

Well, Justin, you wouldn't have this problem if you dated girls instead of guys.

let her know you're concerned about this, and if she's dating somebody, she shouldn't be too big of an issue. sure the prettier girl is off the bat going to attract a guy quicker than the less pretty, and if the girl is ugly, she's probably going to be ignored almost exclusively at first. probably what I would say is get to know the guy a little more, and make sure he likes you for you before you introduce her to your "suuuuuuuuuper duper pretty" friend. consider it a test of his faith, if he still goes for you after he meets you, then he's a good guy, and obviously earned his keep. hope it helps, and if it does, you could always email me if you need any more help regarding this issue, or anything like it, I'm always open to chat (but you should email my gmail [email protected] because this is my spam account, or you could facebook me looking for the [email protected] account, my name is Jason Wall
