i don't know about you guys, but my #1 pet peeve in web design is music on a site. the little, if anything, it ads to a website is easily eclipsed by the annoyance it usually causes. first of all pages with music usually take longer to load, and the levels are either too low or too high. plus if you're already listening to music, it just sounds crappy!

anyway i was checking out MP sites to see if the westend had any new talent and i came across this:

seriously, make sure your speakers are turned down almost all the way.

I can run ssh to a box at home, and then run a text browser (lynx, w3m, links, and such) that is passing across a link that is encrypted all the way to my desktop.

That means no pictures, of course, and also eliminates the possibility of dangerous sounds. That strikes me as a "win/win" situation...
