My step daughter brought a new cat (her one from home, about 3-4 yrs.) to my home with my adopted stray cat (she's about 5-6 yrs). My cat is my first pet, so I always doted on her and she's used to her house. She was found outside, so I had her spayed and vet trip. We have tons of toys and she's happy.
The newly introduced cat (she's really cute, love her too) BUT, wasn't spayed, one of her kittens was brought with her which I'm sure she misses, and used to be semi-outdoors. Now she's indoors, my step daughter gave away the kitten, so if she's in her room for any length of time, really gripes about it. I tried the 'let them smell/switch rooms/introduce gently" and they just don't get along. My one is so timid, she won't move from a window perch we have, while the other just keeps on trying to get to her.
What's a gentle intro when you've already tried? Is there a case that they just won't get along. We're basically out all day now come Sept, so would love to be able for them to get along!
Thanks for any advice!
