How Do I Introduce My Mom Into MY Music?

Well, i listen to like screamo/emo/punk music and my mom listens to rock/rap. I dont know how my mom would respond to my type of music because she aways warns me about the kind of music i listen to and the swear words in it (overprotective much?) But me and my friend both like it and we want to play it next time she comes over. She doesnt know my mom never heard it. I dont want her to freak when i play it (i usually listen to Black Veil Brides, HyperCrush, and sometimes BrokenCyde) so how do i get her used to it without getting in trouble? Any help is great. My friend comes over next thursday so any help that works before then. Thnx

I think it unlikely your mother will have a favorable opinion of BrokenCyde... And I doubt you can brainwash her into "getting used to it".

When my folks are visiting, I put on stuff that's kind of midway between our tastes, leaning closer toward theirs... I figure, it's the least I can do, since they raised me.
