Unfortunately, you are right about that, brother. But, let's not kid ourselves: if it wasn't for you and Welldunne...there would be no Calgary Forum. It would be as dead as the Vancouver one. If Calgary had as many contributors as Edmonton has had....trust me....there would be just as many fights there, too.

Human nature is human nature. Humans generally are: easily offended, quick to want to physically fight for their honour, prideful, quick to speak, before considering the feelings of others, and won't admit how bad their shit stinks.

My advice: if you have issues with someone's posting...private message them. If they don't respond, they probably have you on ignore, and you might as well be trying to win an argument with a ghost.

I have asked others to do this with me, and it has worked out excellent, on multiple occasions: They let me know what commentary they had issues with. I read their issues, and tried to empathize with them, as best I could. No anger, no public fighting, a chance to better understand one another ...and maybe, just maybe...someone I could play scrabble, or yahtzee with one day.

On the covid front, current AB rules are there just so health system can get it itself aligned. Give it the opportunity to get ahead of the curve. All of the messaging may be panicky, but really there is no cause for panic. For those taking care of elderly or weaker people, of course they need to make sure that they do not cause any harm by not taking all of the precautions. As for massages, I'm still going to my regular RMT with receipts but not visiting other places. Not because of fear, but only for the purposes of 'traceability'. If ever, I need to list places I've been to, I don't want to have to 'hide' information. That's why. Keep it simple is my rule.

MM, I went back & forth deciding whether or not to post this. I need to make the point but yet keep it short and then be done with it/them. You seem to have labeled me as having a “tone” or “no filter”. I admit I can be blunt and not sugarcoat things but cannot understand when I complain about it, I am suddenly a “snowflake”. Does it not work both ways or do they just dish out but not take it?

Many times on this board, I have agreed (and vice-versa) with people in one thread and disagreed in another. Most are civil. If I am wrong about something, I not only apologize, I thank the other person for the fact I learned something. I don’t invite them to a parking lot like a barbarian because, how dare they think different!

As far as talking down to people, I try to respect other opinions but when someone says, ‘I have a strong immune system’ so business as usual and basically, fuck the vulnerable, I cannot respect that self centered attitude. I’d be lying if I said I did. Why do I hate that self centered attitude you ask? Because of this…

Fortunately, I have a rare form of Alzheimer's called Conflictus Forgettatitus. So, I don't know what Cabinman is talking about:

1. If there is one thing I had to relearn (something good parents and grandparents) should teach) is: two wrongs don't make a right. I lashed out at someone the same way they lashed out at me. Problem is: some individials in the forum wouldn't know why lashed out...and it just makes me alone look bad.

2. When it comes to trying to stop people from taking unecessary risks in this "hobby"(as it had been described),...
sometimes its best to reason with people privately. So, whether its not going for massages until we have a covid19 vaccine, up to not seeking bare back services...perhaps its best to not (as I have)criticise publicly.

I believe taking these two steps, could reduce public feuding. (But, again...try your best to be honest with yourself and ask:
How might these words be received by other member(s), before typing them . But, also have a thick enough skin to take a little good natured ribbing. As, I am known to dish out.)

Lastly, if somone regular writes in a way
that: 1. Doesn't recognize the advice of health professionals, 2. Gives constant hypocritical advice, or 3. Criticises in a way that doesn't feel constructive....
You MAY want to use that Ignore feature.
Otherwise, you will just be constantly stressed out...over a forum of regular conflicts, with a bunch of members, almost all of which, you will never get to know in a real, offline relationship.

There is enough in the real world to bring you down. Don't let the online world suck you into its up and down, rollercoaster vices.

And yes...I agree...I (and others on this board) haven't given this virus as much serious thoughts, as I (and they) should have.

And although, I am becoming more learned.
...I still feel compelled to get out (while practising "social distancing") and support retail, restaurant, (massage), and other businesses I frequent. (At least, while I still have a job.)

The Canadian Government can throw as much indebted billions, as they feel they need to...into e.i. and other programs, but....more and more, there are people that are being financially crippled by the affects of this virus.
