All i said is Severin will not made me cry when he tell how hardly earned his money is when i am probably sure that most of his income are not declare to the government. He declare probably just enough to cover his expense and get a revenu so low that the income tax percentage is not that much. That's the way it works.

EagerBeaver, looks like you need an accountant as much as Severin appears to need one. The above is the only thing Severin said about his money. Before taxes, he's left with $10. He never claimed that he then lost another $5 to the tax department. He'll pay a lot less than that, if you've read the couple of posts above about Quebec's real business income tax rate (21%). Plus, I suspect that there are other accounting tricks that typical businesses engage in. Hell, he probably doesn't pay any taxes at all if he claims a loss!

I agree with DAK. I can't figure out why someone would advertise that he doesn't offer extras, if the business really depends on it???

I also tend to agree that Severin seems to have taken over the business recently, so whatever may have happened before, doesn't count anymore. Even if he's had it for some time, what's the problem with changing the way he operates his business? I think that there are a few holes in his business plan, but we obviously don't have the whole story.

This is Severin's exact quote. Note the emphasis made by Severin. Why does he bring up taxes if he does not pay them?

READ THE THREAD and you will see that Stripper Lover supplied the info about taxation at 50% between Quebec and Canadian authorities. Since I know SL personally and know that he has run businesses in Montreal, I tend to believe him rather than some of the other horseplop in this thread.

Usually sole proprietorships or DBAs on the one hand and corporations and or LLCs are taxed differently but we have been supplied with no information as to how this business is organized legally, so your post is a tad presumptuous.

Regardless the thread is beyond pointless.Specifically - taxes are not calculated on a per transaction basis but on a gross annual basis.Talking about percentages is pointless as I have never seen a bank deposit/withdrawal or a purchase in percentages.Prices are not posted as a percentage of income.

At best you have a poor business plan being examined by even weaker accountants.

We know taxes are calculated on an annual basis and not a transaction basis, but we are taking the $50 "gross revenue" as a hypotehtical and running with it. That is what we were asked to do in the original Severin hypothetical. He used $50 as a hypothetical "chunk" of gross revenue to keep the equation simple.

You just made my point about the thread - from the getgo someone should have asked him to provide a realistic hypothetical annual model.As is there is overlap - the receptionist(possibly part owner*) would be the business operator or one of the mp's,and the other figures are just textbook numbers.Rent at 10% of gross with taxes/permits rolled in to get $7.00 etc.* = changing the net significantly.

I realize that this is a board where many off (sex-related) topics are discussed, such off topic issues as sports, politics, etc.

But when an owner of a MP comes onto a sex discussion board to place disclaimers in defense of his supposed NON extra MP, there is serious doubt as to his voracity. We are all here to obtain information about where and/or with who about sex in whatever form.

Let's understand something right here & now gentlemen, in the sex business any publicity is good publicity for the business or provider.

Severin coming on to a sex discussion board to claim that his parlour doesn't offer extras is an oxymoron, at it's ultimate. He is got you all & is laughing at you at this point because by keeping the thread alive you are keeping his thread at the top of the list which translates into $$$ for his establishment.

He has engaged himself in publicizing his business & doesn't even have to pay. You are doing the paying that he should do. He should pay this board advertising.

There is no way that any Hotel Spa/Masseuse will reply in a thread on a board such as this. They have no reason from a professional standpoint to comment as they are offering strictly maasage and nothing else so therefore they will not bring attention to themselves on a sex related or risk encouraging men expecting sex to frequent their services expecting the same sex services.

In the sex industry (service providers-agencies and indies & MP's) don't incorporate themselves. These are not considered legit businesses by gov't tax depts. There are no income taxes paid, period. Yes, if they are running a retail business they have to have a municipal licence to operate, that not considered paying taxes.

From here on out, I for one will strongly consider someone supporting this bs to be a shill.

I just read through the whole thread, and it was very entertaining... Well up until it became a tax thread, sorry I'm not a math guy...

The first thing I found interesting about this whole thing is why a "legit" massage owner would even acknowledge a sex industry board? On top of that he didn't just show up to defend his business, he seemed to have a real gripe with Oliver right off the bat. Even though Oliver wasn't the first, or only, one to make comments on the lack of services he still felt the need to single him out...
