Used to be La Source, a Russian place. I`ve been there twice - once with a young Chinese student here to learn English. The fact that I don`t remember her name is really immaterial, since it is only testimony of how unmemorable she was. Second time, was with Jennifer, an attractive, youngish-looking 25 year old. the owner just sent me a pm saying that he first started out at 55/hr but decided to cut the rate in November to 50/hr. I apologize for my original post in which I said that I thought the rate was 60/hr. While I've never been at this particular clinic, I think the owner's decision to cut the rate to the customary 50/hr seems likes a sound business decision.

1) I must admit that I like your creative accounting practices !

2) I also like your marketing practices by taking on Oli but the personal attacks that you have chosen to engage in against him for voicing his opinion are more than uncalled for. All he did was voice his opinion & relay the experiences that others have told him that they have had at your studio.

3) You misread his post where he states that he is relaying what he has been told by others who have PMed or emialed him.

4) If the personal attacks don't stop, perhaps you'd like a senior poster to visit your studio & post a review stating that NO extras can can be had there ? Where would that leave your marketing plan ?

so by Quebec & Canadian taxes it seems that will net you approx. $5 per client per day = $60 & a grand total of $1800 per month. So after rent, I suppose you then live on massage oil ? So then Oli is wrong because you clearly couldn't afford to buy the girls "raincoats" with the declared profits.

NOTE: I noticed that in your attempt to be creative in listintg out all your proverbial operating expenses, you seemed to have forgotten the costs involved in cleaning of the linen or purchasing of the coverings that MUST be placed on the massage tables after each & every client.

I have never heard of any business (other than planned write-offs or quick failures) that makes 20 cents on the dollar net revenue after overhead and before taxes. If your accounting is in fact accurate, I think it may be time for you to look into another line of work, or perhaps hire some new accountants.

Regarding Oliver Kloseoff, although his writing style is a bit rough around the edges, his posts are frequently very insightful. I have also noticed that he is an extremely skilled flame warrior when pushed into that mode. So I would not go there and I doubt the Mods will let you go there.

Good luck with your business, and I think you will need it at this very slim profit margin at which you claim to be operating.

How much does Quebec take of that 20% profit? I am led to believe it would be almost 50%? Leaving this dude with 10% of his gross revenue in his pocket. Does not seem to me like a good way to make a living if this information is correct.

It's IMO an MP owner who is trying to get a free ride (on this board) by keeping the thread alive by posting on a sex industry board about a NON extra (yeah right, I've got swamp land to sell) massage parlour. This is hardly believable & claims to run a legit business altogether. Now, that topped off with operating in Quebec, the highest taxed jurisdiction in North America, he claims to make before taxes $10 per client per day which (in Quebec) running a legit business he will net after taxes, $5.

Give me a break, this is just what it is, a guy doing a promo of his MP & that's it.

I for one will cease to comment in & of this thread on this board, as this is exactly what he wants for us & him to keep this thread about his legit NON extras MP on a sex board at the top of the "New Posts" list.

He's running a business, perhaps a corporation. Businesses aren't taxed as an individual would. That means, as far as I know, he can write off his business expenses right off the top of his gross revenues. Individuals can't do that. So his tax rate can't be 50% of his gross revenues. In fact, it's 31% of his net income.

They also say that this is for a Federal rate of 22% for incomes above $250,000. Less than that and the Federal tax rate goes down to 13%, for a total tax rate for small Quebec corporations of 13 + 9 = 21%.

Another thing. Speaking of another post, if his business is really not legit, then it's a fine way to advertise it. He's said quite a few times that it is, and gave many examples of what they do NOT provide. Anyone wanting extras willing to go and spend $50 just to see if he really provides no extras would be pretty foolish IMO. It's not something that would attract business from the members of this board.

You are not following the thread. The dude claimed out of $50 (gross revenue) he ended up with net income of $10. If that $10 is taxed at 50% between Quebec and Canadian taxing authorities, as per Stripper Lover's post, he ends up with $5 in his pocket. Which is 10% of his gross revenue of $50.

Do me a favor and read the thread before replying.
