Fabric softener allergies?

I feel goofy posting two threads one right after another, but they're two completely different topics!

Has anyone come across a client who's allergic to fabric softeners? I haven't yet, but I'm trying to think of ways to get rid of static in machine-dried sheets without using my lovely Bounce.

I figure it's a rare allergy and clients with it are hopefully accustomed to saying something before they roll around in foreign fabric? but it would be horrible if the poor person reacted to the sheets they're supposed to relax on..

Yup, I'm allergic to some fabric softners myself... as well as having a sister who is highly allergic to the bounce sheets. They seem to drive her crazy with itchy watering eyes.
For the softness factor I use those dryer balls... I do sometimes use a minute amount of fabric softner... but never on the face cradles. Does that help any?

I am allergic to some, too - especially scented bounce. I can use the unscented okay, though.

What I do is have a jar of baking soda water that I pour into the fabric softener dispenser of the washing machine. It works great, no scent and no allergies for my poor wimpy skin.

I am allergic to fabric softeners and it sucks royal azz. I get red whelps on me that itch for days when I lay on or wear anything that was dried with one. I actually have some right now on my belly from them things.

To answer the 2nd part of your question - I generally just provide my own sheets. I take my own sheets to a hotel, too!

Are the dryer balls those bumpy things you can get at Bed Bath and Beyond? I noticed that they make fabrics softer, but I'm having a horrible time with static in this weather. :?

I use Static guard spray, that works for me (forgot to put that in my last post)

Yup, mine came from Target I believe, they run about $10.
