Physical attraction is based on ... well, the physical. Attraction in general, could of course be based on anything.

With that said, there is definitely a place for intelligence in attraction. And I suppose if I were having coffee with you and getting to know you, I would likely at some point think, man she's super hot, I really want to get in her pants. But when I go to a massage parlor, I want to get a massage and it's not sexy at all to be discussing the origins of mankind while I'm feeling you up. When I'm turned on, it's more about animal instincts and I'd much rather hear "I like that", or "that feels good", or whatever else. Something that appeals to my base instincts.

Your strategy seems to be to connect with people on a higher intellectual/emotional level. It almost sounds like to me you want to do the least amount of physical work necessary so you want talk and talk and talk to your clients, and the ones who come back are those lonely souls who need someone to talk to. For someone who I believe said she wants to keep work/personal separate, I think this method will cause problems for you some day.

By the way, it's not about what you want or the kind of men you want to meet in/out of the spa. If you want to pick and choose, you should be a stripper. As an MPA who works in a spa, you take the clients that come to see you. It's ALL about what your clients want.

I have avoided Blue Lagoon after poor service and reading multiple bad reviews. They are close to work but until I read some positive reviews, I won't go there. A fully clothed session is not an incentive. I've had sessions were we hugged naked at the end of a session - that's the only thing I'm willing to do if it's on my dollar.

Well, I never considered or thought of a spa being a collection of independents and without much knowledge of the MP/MPA relationship I will have to concede. I can't say that I entirely agree with your points but I will say you got me as far as I understand what you are saying. Just don't get too fooled that it is not about the money and the oohs and aahs because that is pretty much core of the industry. It may not make sense but that is the reality.

Exactly. Whether you want to admit it or not, a MP session is a BUSINESS TRANSACTION. There's no way you can talk about a 'real connection' at a massage parlor. There's money involved. When a true connection between a man and a woman happens in life, you'll leave everything aside for it, including the confinement of the spa in terms of time and space, and especially, the $$ the client drops for spending half an hour with you.
Maybe you can talk about clients that are more pleasurable to deal with. Or that are fun, nice, and clean. Yes, half an hour with one of the clients is a lot better than half an hour with a rude, closed up, and not so clean guy. You like those people as clients, in the same way a hairdresser has their favorite clients. But to say you have a 'real connection' with guys who are paying for your time and body, doesn't make sense. The money takes the 'real' out of the equation.
And I know, you'll keep the whole ' I really connect with my clients', 'I don't care about appearances', 'I'm different and more real than the other girls' speech going, because obviously you can't say otherwise if you want to attract business. Don't get me wrong, I'm not criticizing you, if I was still a MPA, I wouldn't find a bad idea to create an user id here and post all the blabber I think my clients want to hear, and then identify myself and my spa. Just keep in mind that some guys will like your platform, and some guys won't, and that's ok.

Personally, I like that there are no clocks. I am also not one to have the intention of rushing anyone out the door.
I have a different take on things though, I value a more organic experience. Having the client or MPA checking a clock is a mood killer for me. Being genuine in this business is not always a plus, sometimes the sensual energy just isn't there, and unfortunately it is something I consider to be patronizing to try and fake.

I'm definitely not everyone's cup of tea; I understand that no matter how good a finish you can provide, being chatty and opinionated can be a mood killer.

I'm not exactly clear what you were trying to say with the iTeam comment, but I digress, my generation does seem to have a fondness for Apple products. I, however, am not one of them (not to mention that you have nothing to judge my age on besides the age listed on the website, and judging from the various references to spa websites you obviously know that information is not always completely accurate).
I stand 100% by my comment though. At the end of the day, I am in it for me (not the spa). So yes, I treat my client base as my own and develop rapport appropriately to ensure repeats with the clients I enjoy seeing. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I agree with your comment on being yourself. I do look to many of the massageplanet.net members for feedback on ways to improve. I didn't mean to express that I was unwilling to take constructive criticism or make an effort to stretch my own comfortable boundaries (within reason) for the client's sake. All I meant by that comment was that I take pride in connecting with people based on the real traits I posess. I tend to be able to provide a better experience for the type of men who value sexual/sensual experiences with women they can appreciate on more than one level.

Yes, at the end of the day, it's about boobs/but/etc...I just meant to say that in most cases, it is enhanced when other senses are stimulated.

Here's the thing....that's not me! all comes back to the whole organic thing. Not at all a fan of connecting with someone on the basis of a personality that's not mine.

I guess, in some way, I can play into that. A man who can have a diverse conversation and responds well to my dry wit is definitely a turn on!

It's unfortunate that you feel this way. There's not much I can say to that if you believe that two people can't simply appreciate another person when there is money being exchanged.
Even from my days as an outside sales rep, I've maintained close relationships with a select few people who at one time were my clients.
I guess that all depends on your personality though.
