Republican Presidents have pardoned lots of people who never should have been pardoned. It isn't only Democrats by any means. If you don't believe me, just do the research. In fact Drunk Trump himself has publicly stated that he will pardon the Jan.6th rioters, if he gets elected. Although I did see recently that Biden pardoned a turkey on Thanksgiving day.
