Do you ever lie about your name when introducing yourself to someone?

ive met a couple of people i knew i never was going to see again and ive told them my names was
Marcus, Vincent, Leopold, Eribaldo, Octavio
(each time i used weirder and weirder names hahaha) its funny because my name is Daniel.

well surely enough...i never saw them again.

does anyone else do this?? or am I the only one

Yes, it's perfectly fine. I have lived most of my adult life under a different name. People don't need to know my name. However, it has created an identity crisis, for me. Ah, Daniel, you are therapy for me... I began calling myself a different name, because i was ashamed of being my lame self. Being this new name, I could act, dress, hang out, and basically become someone new that I considered "cool". This new person was tough, hot, sexy, pretty, confident, everything I wasn't. However, my 2 sides did not mesh well together. My "real" had to step in to take care of situations my "fake" had gotten into. My "fake" was not good in relationships, or at keeping jobs. If I wanted anything good out of life, I had to stop living the lie. I hated having to switch back to my real self, which is inevitable.

"Name faking" works only temporarily.

**This is also good for those who creep... if that girl or guy sees you out with your bf/gf and calls out the fake name, it's a life saver, cause they must be mistaken, right? That's not you!
