My apologies for anyone who was offended by my comment. It wasn't meant to be offensive, though I can understand how some may have taken it that way.
As I mentioned, I've been in Japan for over a decade, and I've spent a bunch of time in China, as well as dating a girl from Taiwan, and all of these nationalities refer to themselves as yellow, and in fact, the term for Asian in Japanese is ้ป่ฒไบบ็จฎ - 'yellow-colored-person-type'. With my comment, I was kind of hoping that Thai people referred to themselves the same way (though they are definitely much more brown than the East Asians), and between that and the English saying of 'the other white meat' (a saying which I incidentally also have a lot of fun with in Japan) I only meant it to be a humorous play on words. So for those of you who were offended, again, I apologize.

An anecdote: My first trip to Thailand was 9 or so years ago, with another Canadian friend from Japan. It was our first trip to SE Asia, and while I had the idea that there might be girls who luv me long time, from seeing too many Vietnam movies as a teenager, I didn't really realize that it was a big industry in Thailand. Both of us had girlfriends in Japan, and we weren't here to meet women, but rather just experience that which was Thailand - and buy some cheap suits.
We went to Chang Mai first, and on our first day, we noticed a bar with a sign that said ้ (Mon - means 'gate' in Japanese). It said 'Japanese club' (in Japanese) on the sign. Now in my mind, this meant a dance club, discotheque style, that Japanese people frequented. So we decided to go there that night. At this point, we hadn't seen any kind of p4p scene in Chang Mai, so we didn't really even know it existed. As we tried to walk into the bar, an arm got thrown across my chest (I'm a pretty big white guy, and by no means could I ever even pretend to be Asian) - "Japanese only" I was told. "But I speak Japanese" I responded in Japanese. This threw them for a bit of a loop, and they chatted for a bit, then let us in! Now at this point, I was still expecting a dance club, so were we ever surprised when we walked into a bar that was the same style as a Japanese hostess bar, and they lined up about 20 girls with Santa hats (this was Christmas eve) and told us to pick two. In Japan, they just send girls to your table, you have to pay extra to choose a favorite. We were a little shy as this was a completely unexpected situation for us. When we sat down with the girls at the table, they told us that we were the first non-Japanese ever in the bar!
It was a good time, and we ate, drank, and had a good time for two hours, and as far as I recall it was something like $25. In Japan, this would have cost us $250 for that same thing, so we were completely surprised.
We didn't barfine the girls, because we didn't even realize you could, we weren't even there to pick up girls in the first place, and we both had girlfriends back in Japan. But it was still a great time, and a good memory I have until this day.
Anyways, my point is, I almost wonder if I shouldn't try one of the Japanese places on this next visit. From all accounts, the girls are quite hot, but more expensive. I'm coming on a Japan salary though (well kind of - I'm self-employed), and I'm wondering if I can leverage my Japanese ability again.
But realistically, I'll probably just try to find a hot chick who will go with white guys
