Well I spoke to my mates pal who will be running the show and this is his reassuring reply.


Yep, typical story of Budapest when you're not in the right neighborhood. There are some terrible elements to this town, namely the 5th district where this most assuredly took place. They hunt for foreigners - especially men to rip off with no hope to drive a future business of any kind, It's been happening here for years.

There are a few hotels in the 5th district that get loads of foreigners. There is also a beautiful walking street. This is where most of it goes wrong for the guys. Away from there you shouldn't have any problems.

That is, though, only about 4-5% of the night spots in Bp. Most of them you can walk in and never fell ripped off at all. It's a great town if you only avoid a couple of touristy-rip off areas. And, in fairness, I bet London/New York/Tokyo/Paris is just as bad.

There are great areas for massageplanetes, restaurants, bars and strip joints. The end of the night will be no problem, either. What we can do for you is take you around to the bars and clubs that are cool for that time of year.

I'll give you my personal assurance that if the guys follow our recommendations they'll be fine. Further, we don't take any kick backs from any venues. We base our recommendations on our trust in the venue, value, etc.

I've been here more than 7 years, love to eat and drink, and love the ladies. We'll make sure you want to come back here for your annual trip.

Trust is a touchy subject, especially if one is young, with little or no life experience.

Car theft is a concern, but limited mainly to Budapest; this is one other reason why one should avoid Budapest.

Generally speaking, when I go to Hungary, I do not trust anyone unless I've known them for 20+ years, or if they were introduced to me by a friend I've known for 20+ years. The only other exceptions are cab drivers (if I need directions), some attendants in better stores (if I need directions), cops, officials and ticket agents (if I need directions), and old ladies (if I need directions).

In my mind just about everyone else is a "stranger" (who can get me into trouble, if I don't watch out). Most of my concerns are probably unfounded, but I believe it's better to be safe than sorry!

Grim picture? Naaaaaah. In Hungary I've never had any problems if I trusted cab drivers, attendants of better stores, cops, officials, ticket agents, and old ladies (if I needed directions).

Grim picture? No, not at all! In Hungary, the rate of violent crime is practically zero; I could walk around at night, just about anywhere; I even felt safe when I slept in my car (with EU plates) (outside city limits) in a busy (not deserted) highway rest stop area.

In general, I found people were (and are) good and helpful, most of the time, almost all the time.

Best of luck to you comrade and all that visit there. Theres plenty of folks offering you the easy leg over in Budpapest, and your lucky if you have someone who can genuinely find you the real thing at a good rate. From my experience, and I guess that aint everyones, but there are runners on a comission so you get turned over by the feeder or the bird. Whichever way you get burned. If you have a genuine mate who you can trust in Budapest then get stuck in, otherwise, beware my friend

I had a few pals that went last year and they linked up with a guy that runs stag weekends, for a small fee he smoothed the whole thing over, basically what ever you want and no BS.

I and 6 pals are going in Jan as we need a break from our usual trip to Prague and we are going to let him sort it out for us, and he has also started managing a strip club.

I was over in Budapest last month and would have loved a punt as part of the break. Thing is over there you just cannot trust people. I did some research prior to the visit and it painted a grim picture over there. There are parlours advertised in holiday brochures, even the free city map guide, however you just you are gonna get burned by these people. Budapest has a long way to go to catch up with the sex game in other European cities. I would go elswhere if you are keen to incorporate pay sex in your holiday itinerary.

In my experience, in Hungary there are whoring opportunities, but, IMO, too many people choose the obvious and fail. If you want to succeed, I say, find whores outside Budapest! For better prices, better service, easier navigation, and fewer hassles, try (Hungarian) cities like Miskolc, Debrecen, Szeged, etc, because, in my experience, Budapest is just an overpriced, overcrowded tourist trap.

In Hungary (and especially in Budapest) you won't find opportunities in night clubs either; I agree, in Budapest, many night clubs are but overpriced restaurants for the sole purpose of aggressively selling you drinks at high-high prices. Yes, I agree, they might even want to make you drunk. Yes, I agree, they might even cheat you and claim that - because you're drunk - you don't know how many drinks you've had. Yes, I agree, they have big waiters, too, who can and will intimidate you, if you don't pay for the overpriced drinks they serve you!!! Yes, I agree, the local police won't be any help to you, because they will side with the waiters/waitresses of night clubs; and the latter might lie to the cops if they want to get the most amount of money for the least amount of work.

This is why I say, "Avoid the obvious. Avoid Budapest. And -- unless the club is recommended to you by someone you know well -- avoid (most) night clubs (in Hungary)."

If you want the very best deals, for starters, do a little research on your own! Use one of the many internet massageplanetes; they are sprawling up everywhere. View web sites like www.piroslampa.net and www.redzone.hu. For your reference, you want to hang on to some of the girls' names/phone numbers/preferences, so why don't you print out 5-10 pages off those web sites; it will be money well spent. Then make some phone calls to the advertisers. FYI, the advertisers on those sites are freelancers. They're not perfect 10s, but they will do a far better job in providing sex than anyone else you may meet in any of the night clubs. Those freelancers often work out of their own (city) apartments, and, if you're lucky, there will be two or more girls in the apartment, so you will have a choice.

Not speaking the local lingo can be a challenge. Those freelancers, many of them, will advertise, "I speak English, German, French, etc." In reality she doesn't, or not well enough. And then, when you call her, you will have another challenge. How do you talk to her?

For example -- assuming she answers her phone, and assuming she gives you her coordinates, how do you find the street address she has just given to you? In my experience, getting or finding an address can be a frustrating experience, even if you do speak the lingo, even if you know the city, especially in a big city like Budapest.

Even if you are able to write down her address, you still have to do quite a bit of legwork to find the address (if you're on foot or are driving). In my experience, Budapest is way too big, the streets are overcrowded, traffic is slow, the drivers of the road are unreasonably pushy/aggressive, street signs are misleading/erroneous/hidden, and there's no one to ask directions from. You need a street guide with the names of all streets. If you're driving, many times I stopped behind a waiting cab and asked the driver for directions. Taxi drivers are helpful, but they can do only so much, if you don't speak Hungarian.

Even if you do find the address she's given to you, you might find there's no parking anywhere; and parking enforcement officers are quite vigilant; you can and will get a parking ticket in five minutes or less.

A better solution is, assuming you're using a cell phone, to talk to the girl first, then call a cab, then talk to the driver, then talk to the girl, again, and then ask the driver to talk to the girl directly, so he can get directions, just to be on the safe side, directly from her. If there's a will, there is a way. Yes, you can succeed if you put your mind to it!

Yes, it is true that the (younger) women you see in the streets of Budapest (and elsewhere) look unbelievably good (by Western standards), but, don't be misled by appearances!!!! Keep in mind, the vast majority of women (in Hungary) are NOT professional sex workers, even if they look like ones!!!

i was in budapest for a couple of days around a month ago. went for a walk at around 23.00 at night and ran into a mexican, swede, and american. they had met eachother a few hours earlier, so no one knew eachother well. i met them as i was walking along a street where there were two blonde babes talking to a 50 year old man. they were telling them that they are austrian. one of the guys i mentioned looked at them and then at me and smiled. 15 minutes later we were in a "night club", which was basically a basement with 10 girls, medium looking, and toilets that reminded me of my years in the army. the guy otside the club was begginf us to come in. he said that we could get a free drink with the entrance fee. i knwe that these places in hungary are dodgy, but i went along to see what would happen. we were the only customers. we were asked wht we wanted to drink. i ordered a beer, and the guy told me the price (it was the same price i payed at the entrance...i am afraid that i don't remember, but it must have been around 10-15 dollars...which is expensive for hungary). since i didn't know the guys i was with and i could leave on my own whenever i wanted, i told the waiter off. i told him that he had said that the first drink is part of the entrance fe...he started saying some bs. not even a minute later, the guy had brought us 4 girls and was telling us to buy them drinks and have a dance. the worst part was that they were not hookers...they only danced! one sat next to me and tried to make me horny. i told her i don't want to waste my money. she got pissed off and left. i left a few minutes later, after having seen what was going on. the american had moved to another table and had 2 girls on top of him, the mexican was having a conversation with another girl, and the swede was already drunk with another girl on top of him with her breast in his face, and all he would say is "wow...wow...hungarian girls". i stood up and told them i was going outside to call my girlfriend because there was no connection in the basement. the waiter also asked where i was going )! and i told him the same lie.
and this place was basically a c class strip club, struggling to survive. i can imagine what goes on in well known ones, like the ones mentioned in the posts, where rich people go and get their money stolen. and then you walk around budapest on a sunny summer afternoon and see women passing by who are with no doubt in the porno industry and of course escorts, and it makes you wish you had an uncle who is a monger and has been living in the country for a decade!
where is this dolce vita club by the way? i mean seriously, hungary is the porn capital of europe, the women are outrageously sexy and unique, and we foreigners get to pay 200-350 per hour on mediocre material, or get ripped off in these infamous strip clubs. i mean, come on, Cicciolina is hungarian. there are babes all over budapest, and a large amount of "actresses". i find it to be very strange that no one has any good connection. i found many model agency and porn agency websites. i am sure that all of those girls will f-ck for money because of the country's economy, especially the ones that work in porn. its the same thing, doing it for money. some websites had links for which you has to be a member to get access. i went as far as sending emails asking directly if there are any girls that work as ecorts, and others in which i pretended to be an upcoming amateur pornographer, looking for girls who are escorts/"actresses". all of the replies were short and cold..." we do not offer escort service..we are sorry sir"
i moved away from the topic and main theme of my post which is...DO NOT GO TO NIGHT CLUBS IN BUDAPEST. THE PEOPLE WHO TRY TO GET YOU INTO THESE CLUBS ARE DESPERATE AND USE METHODS TO CONVINCE YOU WHICH SHOW THAT THEY THINK YOU ARE A FOOL. ONCE YOU ARE IN, YOU GET TIPSY OR DRUNK, THEY SEND YOU A GIRL WHO STAYS EVEN THOUGH YOU TOLD HER TO GO AWAY, AND THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY! SO YOU EITHER PAY AND PROVE TO THE WORLD AND TO YOURSELF THAT YOU ARE A FOOL, OR YOU SAY NO AND HAVE SOME GUY 50 KILOS AND HALF A METER TALLER THAN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND. REMEMBER, ALTHOUGH HUNGARY IS IN THE EU, SALARIES ARE STILL LOW. PEOPLE WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET MONEY, ESPECIALLY IN THE SEX/STRIPCLUB BUSINESS. I AM SURE THAT THE PEOPLE RUNNING HTESE CLUBS PAY THE POLICE OFF, OR MAYBE EVEN WORK WITH THEM. EVEN IF THE POLICE COMES, THEY WILL NOT BE ON YOUR SIDE. i have posted one experience i have had with an escort in hungary. i espected a much more professional attitude. in the end the perosn in charge of the agency had messed up so much, that i got a good deal/discount, although extremely over-priced and outrageous for a country who was under communist rule until merely 14 years ago.
