If you don't want to stop here, please scroll up (in this thread), and read step 5. In other words, (whip out your mobile phone and) let a Hungarian guy negotiate for you, in Hungarian. If you do that, you might avoid some of the the greediest and most opportunistic sex workers in Budapest who specialize in "foreigners". Those girls have better language skills but average sex skills. They will speak (and write) good enough English (so that they can make you feel you hit pay dirt), but they also quote you high, higher, or sometimes outrageous prices, and, at the same time, make you think "Oh, 1300 EUR (i.e. 32,500 HUF) is nothing... that's normal... that's the regular price... that;s the price everyone pays!"

As to Babe, I suggest you play the field(!), and put less importance on her! In other words, being greedy, unscrupolous, and/or opportunist is not illegal! They're simply individuals who are taking advantage of the local "free market" economy and a lack of price controls!

Ideally, there would be a bunch of bylaws that would limit beer prices to, let's say, $5 per glass of beer. But, currently, there are neither bylaws nor ordinances to say that. Therefore those questionable business persons can and will decide that, for example, they will charge $100 USD.... or even as much as $200 USD per glass of beer!!

Fortunately, the "5th District" represents ONLY about 5% of the city of Budapest.

The rest, i.e. the other 95%, should be safe (if you can drive a stick shift... if you can find parking... if you don't get a parking ticket the moment you turn your back... if you can read 1/2" letters, on street signs, in the dark, from the distance of 100 yards... if you are able to see through the roof of your car.... if the other drivers of the road don't get mad at you). I'm just kidding!

While I do not recall anyone by the name of Babe, but, for references, there are a few (Hungarian) web sites where (Hungarian) punters compare notes (in Hungarian).

If language is an issue, nothing is lost, and all the followings are good still good ideas: Redzone.com, Internet massageplanetes, printing out contact info, sending e-mails and making phone calls.

If language is an issue, do not let that stop you! Whip out your mobile phone, and ask someone nearby to make a couple of calls for you! It is much easier for them to speak Hungarian! You/they may have to make 5-10 calls before you find a girl who is ready, willing, and able!
