I went to these bars one night, totally dead. They said their only business is when there's a match in the stadium and a few spectators wonder in. I sat for a drink and a girl came around and before I even sit down asked for a lady drink. As I hesitated she just walked off right away. I found most bar girls like this in Phuket this time round. Some even after buying them drinks weren't interested in barfine, just drinks and more drinks ... (seems well-trained by bosses!). So I mainly stuck to FL, a lot better value.

By the way there are some bars on the left at the end of soi Sansabai, for newbies, those are not the one we're talking about here. Need to turn right at the end and walk 50m to get to the new stadium and bars there.

I wondered how any of those bars would make money when they finally opened, when I was there last trip. But I dont know the financial details of getting one. Just seemed starnge to me to basically start up a new enterainment zone that far from Bangla as it never worked with that street which was even closer a couple of years back. But I suppose the Thai owner, would of made all the money from the first set of bar payments!!

I drove by there last night (friday night/saturday morning) aorund 1:30...the music was loud and echoed horribly thus really making it hard to even appreciate it...and the place was empty...As long as Bangla remains the center of activity, I just can't see this place doing well at all
