Yeah step in my manor and get a bit cheeky, you get turned into sausages. Nuff said squire. Its not that bad unless your a teenager in which case you really should just stay in your room listening to grunge rock rap tricky spinner music or what ever it is they listen to now.

In my latest job as an Environmental Health Officer I have worked with the Noise nuisance teams and these guys face daily danger when going out to ask people to shut the fcuk up. I got called to assist at a place in West London (Tower block) could hear the music at over 500 yards away and the pavement was vibrating at about a 100 yards away. In a one bedroom flat must have over 150 guests having a corker of a party, police were terrified and would not attend. The noise nuisance officer waded in and switched the main fuse pulled out the owner of the party and told them in no uncertain terms to shut the fcuk up and clear off or they would be evicted and taken to court. Despite being armed with only a pen and anti stab vest. Took balls of steel and he knew that lots of these kids were tooled up. When I asked why he did it, he said you have to catch them early otherwise the drink and the drugs take over and nothing short of a bomb will close it down.

One girl I worked with was locked in a flat with a workmate and an 83 year old man, whilst the neighbours upstairs who were having a birthday party tried to kick the door in and smashed all the windows.....took the old bill nearly 3 hours to attend. They had to wedge the sofa against the door and sit on it........18 people were arrested aged between 16 and 63, mob rule.

I could go on and on about this type of thing but in the UK it boils down to a complete lack of parental/school control. Kids think they are bullet proof and can get away with anything.

Anyone who will engage in a bar fight (or the alike), being it in LOS or elsewhere are idiots in my opinion.
If that is the type of measure that one needs to resort to settle a matter, one should have his head examined.

As for the English guy in the second video, he surely painted the picture of his class by not being able to complete one sentence without the use of one or more F-words.
Anger management should be his next prescription.

Thai's care more about face then what we westerners would consider pride or being manly. If you, as a Farang manage to beat the first group of Thai's they will just come back with a larger group and probably some firepower to boot. Maintaining face trumps everything else. In the final analysis, the only way to win is not to play.

Or consider evolution, which one of the two people in your example would survive to breed? Self preservation is a very important instinct, if you lack this instinct perhaps you should consider the possibility that nature is trying to send you a message.

But the world is not black and white, there are more then just two types of people and wading head first into a fight that has nothing to do with you and will only end in you getting hurt or worse is not bravery by any stretch of the imagination.

And that is why I am saying that I hope people thinking of holidaying here who are of an aggresive nature under the influence, should be aware of that fact and think twice before they take a swing or cause whatever offence offends Thai's!

Don't be a hero in Thailand guys. Even when you think there is not a single Thai guy near you. As soon as a fight starts they come from nowhere in no time. Being a tough guy with the looks of Arnold Schwazenegger doesn't help when 20 guys attack you.

But most of the times in Patong they are other bar staff/friends of the guy who is fighting , same thing happens in the UK when groups of young guys get pissed up at weekends.

This poses the question what would you do if its is someone you know/ care about well good sense or no you just got to wade in!! Though in saying this i have been in some of the hardest pubs in new zealand and if you watch yourself and are not a **** head generally these things don't happen and if they do way the odds beat a hasty retreat.

Right or wrong and it is wrong ganging up shows weakness but if that is how they do it take note and just know what can happen!!

Thats part of what I'm getting up, you only saw a portion of what happened on video, its more than likely in any situation that you will only see the towards the end bit of a confrontation. Most of the times I've seen Farangs get into trouble here they have acted like complete prats, though that is not always the case.
