I'm sure there will be some left open. The Chinese government's philosophy seems to be "out of sight, out of mind". You might need to travel a little on the subway from the city centre. You'll certainly need to venture off the main roads. I found myself in Baoshan District a few nights ago.

I travelled along a road heading north about 20km from the city centre. It felt like I was in another city. People were staring, the roads were poor quality, dust everywhere, people looked dirty. I crossed a bridge just past the Outer Ring Road and saw about 10 BBS side-by-side. The girls were looking and I was hearing "laowei!" a lot from other people on the street. It was such an amazing sight and the girls looked to be very, very pretty. I have never seen so many BBS in such a close proximity in my whole time in China. I'm in shanghai now, and I would like to try one of these red rope, fire/ice places if they are still open. Saw so many of these red light massage parlors along the roads, so I tried one. It was 50 yuan for 45 min, and once they start massaging thy will ask if you want to add extra services like play with your nipple or hj for 50 more. Wouldn't do FS or BJ, and you can't take your shirt off. It was an interesting experience but not my cup of tea. So Now i'm thinking about trying one of these saunas I'm hearing about. Where to go?

Hi CC, excellent point. I only mentioned it because of a recent post saying it wasn't on offer. The other reason was because on my last visit it wasn't available, just a HJ and I only found this out once I got in the room.

Suggest it would be not a good idea to state FS at the reception, I posed and recommended this place originally and have been going there for years.

The place is full of businessmen, senior Chinese execs, hence the surroundings and decor. They let foreigners in due to the location at the hotel etc, but overall a 'chinese' high class place. For a Chinese man to buy Rmb 850'ish is a lot !!!

So would suggest only Massagy, when you get into the rooms, and with the girl, it will naturally happen.

I have just been there and it was a different receptionist, this one was very frosty. Told her that I had been many times but all she said was they only provide massage now for the same price! Asked her about FS and she said in a very pissed off and aghast way NO. You'd think I'd asked her if her mother was still working there!

Went to the Bao An last week hoping for some FS upon reading the reviews. Unfortunately, was not able to get any action as management was VERY cautious due to recent crackdowns. Spoke to the manager who repeatedly stated that they do not offer that kind of service (which is bollocks of course). I used the Bao An again recently and had the usual great surroundings and impeccable massage. The girl was an 8/10 (no 923), said she was 23 and no reason to doubt that.

When the massage finished the only thing she offered was a hand job claiming I was too big (presumably even for her mouth). Now I'm not the biggest pony in the stable so felt that was bollocks. She also didn't even want to get undressed, instead of which she just slipped her top down a little.

I went to the Bao An last week and had a great time, stunning surroundings, good massage and nice sex including BBBJ. Similar Mid range FS as I've experienced in Shanghai costs around 200,000 KRW (about 1,035 RMB) in Seoul.

I think foreigner premium was included to the cost I've payed in Shanghai.

I've experienced a damage shock in a hotel (Sorry, I forgot the name 'cause I was drunk ) have a big sauna underground of the building near the science museum(上海科技馆‎) last week.

Excellent field report. I went to this hotel on twice occasion this past July and the details were exactly as stated. As I was led down the hall by my guide to the room of my girl, I was able to see many of the girls who were between jobs and there were many girls that were 8s and 9s.
