Just finished my session at Royal Relax in Pudong area. I cant write the street name because the name card is in mandarin. No FS though but great pleasure. I was properly massaged, bath in milk, HJ, arse swipe for 2 hours at RMB 356.

Y200 is reasonable. I don't pay tips unless the service is sensational. I have paid Y100 for a HJ and been quoted this amount many times. Y200 for FS is standard. I think the boob job could have been a little cheaper, but then again it's worth paying extra if the shop location (privacy) and the girl are exactly what you're after. It happens from time to time, usually coinciding with extended national holidays, visiting dignitaries, big events, etc.

IMHO it's a peculiarly Chinese 'face' thing. Everyone in China knows the supply and demand of and for hookers has always been around and always will be, but now and then the 'powers that be' need to remind the plebeian of (a) who's in charge, and (b) if something's illegal then they're 'doing their job' by making the news with action against it, even if it's only sporadic and ultimately futile.

Yes, you are allowed to choose the girls. I only visit shops where I can see the girls first from ouside the shop. If you can't see anything you like, keep walking. Beware though, the pink light can sometimes make the girl look younger and more attractive than they are!

I recommend the Google Map site as it's now fully integrated with Pinyin and Hanzi. Just type the name of the street you're looking for and the word "Shanghai". It should take you straight to it.

A street with "nan" in the name should immediately signify "south" (i.e. "bei" = north). Try "yanging south road, shanghai"

If possible print the zoomed-in page and take it with you. Or what I do (I'm too cheap to buy a printer) is mark my hard copy Shanghai street map with a highlighter and throw it into my bicycle basket!

I invested in a cheap second hand bicycle (less than Y100) from the taobao web site, a sturdy bicycle chain/padlock, and a map. I'm reasonably fit and quite enjoy late night rides to the edge of the metropolitan area. It's probably not everyone's idea of fun but while the weather is nice, I find it very pleasant.
