Okey dokey, my poopety-doop and her ear are on the road to recovery, so I feel good about getting back in here to share my animal communicator experience!
Well, I really liked this woman. She was not what I visually expected, as she was very average looking. I also felt that she was very grounded and not flighty like I expected (my mother practices Polarity and can talk in circles with her head in the clouds, I love her but sometimes it's hard to understand her...and I also practice Reiki, so flightiness it's not always related to "energy" or psychic type work).
I believe in psychic energy, it wasn't a stretch for me at all to believe in what she does...especially due to the fact that I work with animals and communicate with the them all the time, just differently. I also think that some animal psychics are actually reading the person and not the animal...so I was somewhat skeptical of the reader, not the medium.
Prior to getting started, the only things that the communicator asked were: what is her name, how I chose Myrika's name, if there were other dogs in the home...what their names and ages were, and what other humans in home and names.
My questions and Myrika's answers:
Do you know why you were returned to the breeder before you came to live with us? Too much work, too much energy.
It seems that the joint supplements we are giving you are helping you to feel more comfortable, is this true? Yes. Explanation of pain at hips, especially right side...as well as, pain at wrists.
Is there anything additional that we can do for you - now or in the future - regarding your health? Give a larger dosage of new joint supplement.
What was your experience at the Vet when you went in for your spay surgery in Feb? Confused - did not know what was happening especially since I dropped her off and she had been returned to the breeder, didn't know if I was returning to get her.
Are your needs being met in regard to what you feel your job is? Yes. Job is to take of Willow and Oakley, especially Oakley.
Question 1 was related to my concern about her being returned to the breeder and whether we were told the truth. Myrika was 3.5 mo when we got her. The breeder said she was returned because the family had a set of young twins and she was jumping up on them. A trainer supposedly told the family that she would always do this. Give me a break, that is so not true! Hence my concern. I wanted to make sure she wasn't returned due to injury (that the breeder may or may not have been privy to), as she has since been diagnosed with severe/advanced hip dysplasia.
Question 2 was related to her severe/advanced hip dysplasia. She was diagnosed at 18 mo when she went in for her spay. The right side is indeed worse than the left. She has also had problems with her wrists. I wanted to know (confirmation) if the supplements were helping. I can visually see that she is moving better and appears to be in very little pain compared to pre-supplementing.
Question 3 was again related to her hip dysplasia. I was hoping to hear her opinion on surgery. She mentioned nothing of surgery. I did get that she thought the new joint supplement I added a few weeks back is really making a big difference. She also gets pure glucosamine and msm from an herbalist but according to her this new supplement is really doing the trick.
Question 4 was related to her behavior after she came home from her spay surgery. I wanted to make sure her visit was a safe one. She is a very confident dog and her behavior completely changed as a result of going to the Vet for this procedure. She appeared to be extra guardy, alert, barky in the car, and showing a complete lack of confidence. I had to start from the beginning and re-socialize her. Now she is back to "normal."
Question 5 was related to her job as a working dog. I wanted to know if her working needs were being met, as she is a high energy dog with DRIVE! I want to channel this energy the best possible way for her. She thinks her job is to watch Willow & Oakley - espcially Oakley. I do tell her to watch them, and also to go GET Oakley when he's poka-doking along out in the yard. Turns out she would be happy doing tracking with the goal of search & rescue...nothing just for the sake of doing it like agility, there needs to be a goal or purpose in the end. I asked about herding sheep...she said if they were our sheep yes, but she would not enjoy sheep herding just for the sake of sheep herding. LOL
There were so many other things we discussed and they were right on target. The communicator used some of the exact words that I use with Myrika, too coincidental to be random. I left the session feeling great about our time with her and thinking that maybe sometime I will have a session with each of my dogs. Really COOL!
