The only good thing about the speed camera tickets is they don't add demerit points and they don't effect your insurance rates.

Consider yourself lucky, I got at least 5 and a couple were over $200.

In the old days you could show up in court and either get lucky (cop doesn’t show up) or at a minimum get a significant discount.

Going to court to fight a speed camera ticket is futile…I know this firsthand.

Actually it’s worth sending in not guilty. Courts are so backed up with all the red light cameras and people doing this that by the time they get to it too much time has passed that they can’t charge you.
I fought a red light camera ticket once Don’t remember if I got a break or not. I’m recalling judge reduced the fine a bit.

Most of the current tickets aren’t court tickets. They are under the APS system so no courts to deal with. Also less wiggle room to get out.

Maybe it depends on the municipality. York Region confirmed my court date in a couple of months. I went and there was no leniency whatsoever. In fact, they warned me that if I still wanted to stand trial, I would likely have to pay more…like WTF.

I don't have the time. I'd rather pay and just move on. No demerit points and doesn't affect my insurance.
Plus I don't want it cutting in to my spa visits

The idea of what I meant is the courts are so backed up that it wouldn’t get to court. The key is that everyone should send in NG. just my theory

You get multiple speeding tickets from those speed cameras and all of them are related to going to/from spas.

On another note, those friggin’ speed cameras are total BS and just a money grab…

I have fought 2 of them, and they withdrew the ticket. It is worth a shot.
