If you stay in Prague 2 or 3 to be right in the middle of a load of privats, there is a good Albert supermarket in the Flora shopping mall right by the metro stop. Got everything you need.

Last month I used to go to a small store to buy my beers, my food etc... it wasn't cheap, for a Czech or even for us. Tesco was too far.

And the last day, I noticed a supermarket just next door !

It's in the middle of Wenceslas Square, but it's difficult to find if you don't have the info. It's in front of Marks & Spencer

Its name is "Albert". Your can see its yellow and blue logo in their web site :

And you can pay in EUROS : 1 Euro = 28.50 CZ. it's a good rate (the same as FKK).

If you stay like 1 week in Prague, you could have a BJ for free with the money you saved thanks to Albert

Here's another tip.

There is an internet massageplanete at the airport, and it's free if you buy a drink. Furthermore you can pay in Czech Crowns, Euros and US Dollars.

Terminals are set up in Czech, German and English, although the English one faces the massageplanete and not the wall, so be cautious about posting messages on this forum or checking out a club's website incase someone is looking over your shoulder.

A little update to this.

You can buy an Oskar SIM card for 500 CZ that gives you the whole 500 CZ as credit - as of early September 2005.

The main Oskar shop is on the pedistrian street at the north end of Wenceslas Square.

Make sure that the shop activate the card for you before you take it away otherwise it won't work.

It is vital for us to have a czech mobile number.

Fortunately, it's very cheap and easy to have one !

I don't know about the other operators, but I can tell you that T-Mobile is good (not my sponsor I swear it !)

Your mobile has to be of course unlocked, so you just have to buy a SIM card.

I paid 500 CZ Kurunas, so about 17 euros, BUT 300 CZ Kurunas of credit (10 euros) are included in the price !

So having a Czech mobile number cost you only 7 euros with T-Mobile.

Once again, I didn't try the other operators, but I guess it isn't more expensive.
