I wanted to share some important information about emotional release/energy release for those of you who need this information. We all know the the first law of thermodynamics, “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to another and stored". The word emotion means "energy in motion". We feel examples of this when we have a lump in our throat or a pain in our hearts. This is an example of stored emotional energy. While some talk therapy sessions may work to help a person see a different perspective, thus altering their regard of a particular situation, unless there is active release of the emotional energy it will remain. And the only way to do that is to feel the emotion and release it. Dr. Walter Weston wrote a very simple book with a technique he developed called ERT, Emotional Release Technique. I use this technique any time I am feeling yucky and it works very well for me and many others who I have shared this with.
There are so many forms of energy work out there. Reiki is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to energy work. I personally have experienced and studied several forms including Reiki, Vortex Healing, Pranic Healing, Quantum Touch Technique, The Reconnection, Barbara Brennan Healing Science, Thai Chi, JinShinDo Acupressure etc. So many amazing experiences with each, even Reiki, which is a technique that I have long regarded as well, kinda lame. No offense to you reiki practitioners- it turns me off but I have recieved attunments (kundalini Reiki) and treatments trying to understand it. I guess it's the "master" designation ( I know, I know it's japanese culture!) and well, anyway, I wont go on with this. Personally I enjoy pranic energy work. It is very grounding and amplifying to my own energy system- it's not like I am "giving" the recipient energy, I am just amplifying my own energy body and the recipient vibrates with my efforts.
And I also want to add that when I began my massage training I wasn't really into energy work, I didn't know much at all about it and I also did not understand how emotional trauma effects the physical body, but I did have an open mind. it took awhile for these ideas to fit together and I began to notice patterns with my clientele. Like for instance a certain core emotional state was associated with a certain illness and this was more of a rule than an exception. Fascinating. ok Happy New Year Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Eat no Evil
