I've had a cockatiel called Stewie now for about 6 months and hes the sweetest bird you could imagine, hes always been really good, he was first stood on my finger within three days of getting him and he was a parent-reared baby, so this shows clearly that he can adapt well. Though desite these good traits, he can be pretty vicious towards people he doesnt know (specifically men and little kids).
So i was wondering if it would be okay to get him a female companion, he used to sit in my room with me till i had to move out of my parents house and in with my boyfriend...who then barely even a week later got a kitten...a very evil kitten i hasten to add... Anyway, now he stays downstairs in the living room cause of this cat 1and i feel bad for the little guy, sure i still see him A LOT, but before it was pretty much constant interaction, and ive found that he keeps calling to me whenever i leave the room and it makes me feel awful because he probably thinks im not coming back when i go to sleep or anything.
I just dont know how the new cockatiel will interact, plus i doubt i will be so lucky next time when picking a bird so, a little help from any bird owners about introducing a new bird to another young bird?
Much appreciated
