Why don't many Christian families introduce their children to atheism?

Many atheist families teach their children a lot about other religions. Are Christians afraid of the fact that it only takes a small introduction of common sense to break the weak bond that their children have between themselves and their imaginary Sky Daddy?

I believe Atheists that expose their children to faith systems do so in a more or less anthropological way, as in "look, there's other people in the world with other beliefs, and you should draw your own conclusions and respect them."

While many Christians might agree with the idea of respecting others, you must remember that they believe in souls, and that a choice such as atheism would lead to an eternity of pain for their child. Therefore, Christians (or members of other religious sects) do not encourage their children to "decide for themselves"... they try hard to indoctrinate the decision into them. In their eyes, they are protecting their children. If they introduce atheism as a topic at all, it will be in a derogatory fashion in order to indoctrinate their child(ren) into loathing atheism. Luckily, some kids still manage to think for themselves in the end.

Because we know better then to defy God in such a manner; that and we love our Children far too much to intentional expose them to a NON-belief system that will condemn them to hell for all eternity. Shame you don't love your enough to do the same.

Shut up you weirdo. They do because my parents teach me right from wrong. Christian= Right. Atheism= Wrong. And no matter what my bond will NEVER be broken. And how do you know? If your an Atheist then are you like a stalker that believes in lies or something???

Some probably do, but kids are so impressionable, that the simple "believe or burn for eternity" prevents them from swaying.

Where is your evidence that atheists teach their children "a lot about other religions?"

Many Christian families do introduce their children to atheism, but it is not intentional.

No we teach them to follow God and when they get older they can choose to do as they please. Teaching them atheism as a child would be like teaching them to be fools or that murdering is okay!

well they are a bit protective of their childrens religion. the general idea of any religion is to pass down their religion from generation to generation. They probably are afraid they would convert, but that isn't the fact they don't believe in their religion just the fact that they want their children to be christian like them.
