Why can't Harry use the time turner (introduced in book 3) to go back

and prevent Dumbledore's death? I know that there are risks associated with using the time turner such as seeing yourself in the past and causing damage. I don't get why Harry can't save Dumbledore (I know he was eventually going to die anyways because of his hand, but still) even though he saved Sirius.

Just out of curiosity, do you really need permission from the Ministry of Magic to use a time turner? And did the time turners really break in book 5?

oh then why didnt Dumbledore save Harry Potter Parent with that Time turner, you cant save the dead if it already dead.

he couldnt stop it or he would of died. anyways, dumbledors death was planned by dumbledor himself. he asked snape to do it because he knew draco wouldnt do it himself. if you read the 7th book, you would understand it better.

you cant change what has already happened. plus they gave back the time turner and they dont exactly just hand them out to anyone. you have to request them and they cant change the past youre only allowed one for selfless purposes.

It was inevitable,
snape was ment to kill dumbledore, if you've read the 7th book.
The time turner is hermione's, and she wasn't with him at the time.
There were what, 6 death eaters crowded round him?
He had to die, if you've read book 7.
