Where is the Kompas floating disco/pickup joint?

Indeed you're dealing with sex-history there. Since the Park-Inn hotel was build (that new building you mention), azeri's would get rid of the people in the park after midnight. Some other disco's are near closing action. Maybe you remember Black Jack disco? Well, at the moment you can hardly find 5 chicks inside.... Something's changing over there.

The old rustbucket Kompas floating hotel/pickup joint that was formerly moored at the first dock to the left of the bayside park in central Baku is nowhere to be seen. Has it moved to a new location? I last saw it when I was in Baku ten months ago. It was moored next to the large bayside park /amustment part that stretches from the bay in front of the Absheron Hotel to the old city and the downtown shopping area.

The Kompas hotel ship, which had a special rusty, degenerate charm, had cheap sleeping accommodations for backpackers and a down below deck disco that attracted teens from the park. Maybe it was its convenient location or its ability to serve as a place to quickly go to from the park, but in any case, it attracted a number of girls on the make. Down below deck there were a number of cabins for short time use. The girls were usually available for short time only. Probably, they were shop girls, backpackers or other amateurs who were out for the occasional lay just to supplement their spending cash. The price was usually only $20 BBBJ or full.

There is now a new building almost completed in front of the dock and the Kompas is nowhere to be seen. Has it moved to a new location in the harbor or is it now a part of sex history?

I now regret that I did not follow through on my plans to stay there and see how many BBBJs I could log in a day.
