when should i introduce them?

I have a two week old kitten. She is small and doing very well with eating and everything. I have asked about two or three questions regarding my kitten already but here is another one. I also have a 4 year old black lab. She is very hyper and gets along with all kinds of animals. Eventually i will need to introduce them because my kitten will be going inside and out. Whenever i let her out i dont want to have to worry about her fighting with my dog. How should i go about introducing them? and when would be a good age for me to introduce them...


Update: my kitten was sick and very skinny whenever i got her. she refused drink milk or do anything besides sleep. now she eats every feeding goes to the bathroom regularly and plays around the house. Thanks to all the help and awnsers everyone has given me on here. I also finally raised enough money for her to got to the vet either tomorrow or tuesday so they can do furtherexaminations.. thanks again everyone

When she is used to you and the house. Also make sure she isn't too nervous.
At 2 weeks old she shouldn't have left her mother. In which case she would return yo her mother for safety so make sure she accosiates you, somewhere, or something as safe in case she gets frightened.

And some extra information...
- Make sure you feed her just milk. It must also be special milk for cats as normal cows milk makes them ill. Feed her every 1-2 hours.
- Give her a bigish teddy as her surrogate mother.
- Make sure she has a warm comfy bed.

Wait until the kitten is 2 months old. (you can let the dog smell it in a week or two, but that's all)

When the dog is calm/tired bring the kitten to her, let her smell it. The kitten will hiss, but this will eventually stop. Until your sure the dog isn't going to hurt the kitten (even accidentally) and the kitten isn't going to scratch the dog, make sure you're there to referee.

Kittens can adjust to dogs quickly, but with a big dog you want to make sure she's not going to play too rough.

Whenever you feel your kitten can handle it, she should trust you so she won't be too scared, just make sure you're close enough to intervene if your lab gets too rough
