When do i introduce my cats and dog?

I have one female tabby (spayed) whos about 5 years old. I also have a 9 year old miniature pinscher. I'm getting a kitten in a few weeks. Should i get a boy or girl kitten, who will get along best with my current dog and cat? How old should the kitten be when i start to slowly introduce them?

You should introduce new animals to other pets straight away, if your animals fight with other animals, then maybe introduce them with the new kitten while it is in a cage so that your animals can get used to it. if you introduce it when it is a kitten then gender shouldn't matter. But keep your eye on them for about the first week to make sure they dfon't try anything with the kitten. If all is well after that they should be fine.

you can introduce them when ever,
the best way to do that is slowly for example hold the kitten in your arms and let the dog in and smell the kitten and interact with it whilst the kitten is still safe in your arms do this often and they will get along fine.
it doesn't matter what gender they are just at first make sure you always supervise them

Generally when introducing a new cats its best to get an opposite gender, less compition, so a male to your female is good, but if your cat is excepting then either would be fine. To introduce then youll want get a cage for the kitten, place it in an area where hes part of the home but not in the middle of traffic, in a closable room is best so that you can lock the others out so the kitten can have out of cage time. the first few days keep the kitten caged when the others are in the room. this will also help with littertraining if the kitten is not trained yet. then allow one to be in the room with the loose kitten, then the other, then both. this can no time at all, or a little while, depending on the attitudes of your animals. Give it at least 3 weeks before desiding whether they will get along or not, generally it take about this time for most cats/dogs to adjust. Dont leave them alone unsupervised for at least the first few days.
