We talked barely last class, but I want to get to know her better. What's a good conversation starter after introducing myself to her?
 
Talk about the class, talk about other classes then start to talk about her then tell stories from your life .... Damn it's that simple.
 
Tell her you got her a gift and hand her an empty gift box. After she opens and asks where the present is, put on a confused look and say "What? Where'd it go?" When she asks what it was you got her, tell her that you put your love for her into that box but you guess it just couldn't be contained :/.
