What to look for in Appointment Book?

Just curious, Id love to get one that had everything I needed......

dated?

undated?

address list?

large?

small?

anything else?

I prefer my appointment books to open up to a week at a time, Monday through Sunday, not to have Saturday have less room to write into than Monday through Friday, to be dated (but if I wasnt starting my business in January I would start with an undated one), and to have quarter hours.

I like the larger books, I dont carry it around in my purse, so large is great for me. The larger ones have more room to write in as well.

I dont keep addresses with my appointment book. I have too many clients to keep all their addresses in it.

I don't work weekends, so I use Saturday/Sunday for my To Do List. The calendar is big enough to write both client names & phone numbers for their appointment times, yet small enough to fit in my purse. I carry it with me at all times, making appointment scheduling easy.

It's plenty big enough to keep the phone numbers of all my regular clients, and therefore have them with me at all times. Yet, it's also small enough to fit in my purse.

Appt. Book

If it's something you leave at the office, I make my own, since weekends are part of my shift. I just couldn't find something that worked well for me. Also, because I work a full 30, 60 90 I need something wit quarter hours on it.

I like something where I can see a whole week at a time. Mine is not very large (about half the size of a notebook, maybe a bit smaller). I usually carry it with me, so that's a pretty manageable size for me. I don't use it as an address book. Hope that helps.

The book is called a DayMinder® Four-Person Daily Group Appointment Book(Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see three notecards that you can click on. Take the one for more images and you'll see that you can click on the tiny pick of the opened book to check it out all up close and personal like.) They aren't something NEW like the site suggests. We've been using these since '96.

We're really low-tech LOL. We go to Sally Beauty Supply once a year and pick up one of their $6 appointment books. There's no pre-written dates, only times, divvied up by the quarter hour, starting at 8am and going till 9pm. Ours has 4 columns per page-side, so it stretches 8 columns across, which means we can do a Sunday-through-Saturday schedule, plus a column off to the side where we write notes/reminders/client phone #s/directions to clients' houses/etc. One book lasts us JUST under 1 yera. It works really well and for $6-7/hr, you can't beat it
