The general consensus is with Hi-Points you get what you pay for. Some folks actually think they are good/nice/acceptable. I'm not one of those people. They are heavy as a brick and are known for being made with sub industry alloys, having the weight and ergonomics of a brick, and I frankly would not trust my life to one. I did, however, see on Police Women of whatever it was-an elderly man shoot a would be mugger with a Hi-Point. That one worked but there isn't much reassurance the one you buy will if and when you need it to.
