Ha ha...the first poster's comment was cute. And to some extent accurate. I am not here to judge, but why stop breast feeding? I would given ANYTHING to breast feed my son again. I stopped at 4 months because he started hunger striking as his association to eating is pain because he has had the worst case of colic my doctor of 17 years has ever seen. My poor little man only sleeps 8 hours max in 24 due to his colic.
But anyways, I eventually gave into formula for colic (I tried removing dairy from diet among other things and it didn't matter), the formula is better. But my son LOVED the bottle immediately...there was no coaxing involved. But I miss breast feeding so much I want to get pregnant against so I can do right by my baby next time hopefully.
But if you are hell bent on bottle feeding, try different bottles...like the Playtex one is supposedly more like a human nipple. Also, you can get him suckling on your breast and try switching it out for the bottle. I used to have to do this the opposite way with a pacifier or bottle to get my son to nurse, or he refused...
