I just bought a used Oakworks Wellspring at a great price from a guy on ebay. I got it home and found that the plywood board on one half the table is a bit warped and when you press down on it from above, it "clunks" and then pushes in.
This table was in storage forever, it must've been exposed to humidity, etc and so here we are.
My questions - how can I fix it? If I leave it open with weight on it will it fix itself? Should I dare to steam it or something? Do I need to take this piece off the table (can you do that?) and deal with it somehow on the flat ground?
This table is in excellent condition otherwise and I felt quite a bargain... now we know why.
Thanks.
