quelqu'uns a regarder trafic humain a tqs hier, ça ma fais penser a borissa depuis le temps quelle est partir je me demande si il lui est pas arriver quelque chose de genre, ça fait déjà 7 a 8 mois quelle est partie. c'est pas normal.

He's talking about a tv mini-series that started last night on TQS. I believe it concludes tonight. It's also being released on DVD soon, in english and french.
It stars Mira Sorvino and from what I hear it's a pretty sobering look at the problem.

Je dois me rendre souvent en asie c'est temps ci et une fois, dans un petit appeller 'Macau' situé à 50 minutes de traversier de Hong Kong où il y a à peut près juste des hotels-casinos et de salon de massage, je suis aller dans une place de massage....

Je dois dire que normalement en asie les filles dans les bordels, club de danseuses ou salon de massages sont des filles 'locales' sauf qu'a cet endroit ils 'importent' les filles... Sur le coup tout est présenté comme si c'est de filles qui vont là pour faire plus d'argent.... mais après mon massage FS que j'ai eu avec cette fille présenté comme une 'russe' dans le catalogue.... j'ai commencer à jaser avec... et je dois dire que ce qui est dit dans le film c'était à peu près pareil comme histoire.... hier en regardant la première partie j'ai eu pas mal de flashback. La fille venait d'ukraine, elle était majeure et on l'avait amener là en lui faisant accroire qu'elle allais travailler dans des restaurants.... maintenant elle devait travailler pour sa chambre, ses vetements, son billet de retour... sur le coup tu te dis que ça pas de bon sang et tu veux lui venir en aide pis après tu te rappelle où tu es à ce moment là (le pays) et disons que tu veux pas rencontrer le monde qui l'ont amener là...

J'espère que ce film la va faire la lumière sur pas mal de trucs qui se passent dans le monde et je suis surpris que ce film là n'ait pas sorti au cinéma.... il est bien meilleur que plusieurs navets américains....

moi aussi ça ma fais penser a des choses, des fois tu va voir les salons massages chinois ou russe a Montréal en général tu ne les voient jamais sortir les filles après leurs heures de travail. pas loin de chez moi il y a un salon chinois mais c'est pas indiquer sur St-Vallier et jean-talon j'ai jamais vu sortir une fille de la bizarre non.

When I last spoke to Borrisa, she was telling me how some Russians lived better that Montrealers. She was telling me that there are some people who supply the Newly rich Russians with goods that are hard to get in their country and make a killing doing it. As far as I know she was tired of wiping Jigajoo Joy Juice off her hands all the time, and wanted to better herself by supplying others needs. Could be that she went to pursue other dreams?

I'm glad to see that I'm missed, and very much unhappy to be were I am now. Unfortunatelly canadian citizenship seems to be the last thing to be considered when you get in trouble abroad.
Actually my son has got into trouble:-the last thing I could imagine is that being native canadian could cause so much pain! Russian authorities don't let him out(!!!). So we have to stay here untill some guy decides to interrupt the Women's Day celebration and sign the exit visa for my three-years-old son.
Canadian Consulate has again shown how useless are all those who are supposed to represent the country and defend its citiens.
My hands are shaking: I need to massage some bodies ... Not russian bodies
I hope that my journey in hell is at it's end-so see you soon!
( please make a wish for me to come back next week! I really want to come back home!)

I've watched the movie on dvd (human trafficking) last saturday. the movie is really good and well done. And at the end you'll be rethinking when you want to see an SP, at least that's what happened to me... now i'm owrried that if my money will be going to such criminals and encouraging there slave trade.
I don't think anyone would like to see his mom, sister, daughter, or female friend dragged into such a horrible destiny.

If it's on tonight then watch it. It's not the same if you missed the first 1/2 but still ....

When I saw it as a rerun it was re-broadcast as a single, 4-hour show and the impact was definitely alot stronger without any break in the middle. Once I started watching that was it - I was hooked. It really is an eye opener.

Be forewarned ... the story is not for the faint of heart. There are few happy endings in this story. It can be quite graphic & brutal at times but that's the intent.

I have always worried about the underside of this business and have always wondered where the money I might be spending might be going and who the girl might be working for.

It's the main reason why I avoid dealing with agencies here in NYC ... believe me, I've personally heard too many horror stories. That's why I try to seek out independants locally but that is not quite so common in the US.

That is why I enjoyed meeting with the few SP's that I have seen in and from Montreal. The experience is completely different ... much more positive. The social stigma attached to being an SP is much greater here in the US (remember - we were founded by a bunch of Puritans and other religious fanatics that Europe didn't want). Also, the women of Quebec seem to me to have a wonderful & natural ability for affection. So I feel safer & happier dealing with them.

I think the men out here would be wise to learn how the industry operates and that their "hobby" can have a rather profound affect on womens lives (although personally I think Quebec is not nearly as bad as NYC and other cities in this repect). Do some homework. Do you know where your money is going & who it is paying? Yeah, the girl who shows up at your room is cute; but who is she really working for? And is her "boss" looking out for her, or just squeezing out as much profit as possible before she gets burnt out?

And I think the women out here will benefit from seeing it as well. It's a very good incentive to keep yourself safe ... and I don't mean wearing a condom. Know who your employer is AND who you are meeting. How are you being "marketed"? What kind of situation are you being sent into?

This movie will really make you think. Some may have some serious second thought about "hobbying".

I look at it this way : if you know that your intentions are good then you should not feel any reason to feel guilty about what you do. I never do anything that I know I'll regret later. So if you think the same way & do the right thing, then you should feel the same way I do. I have no pain, no regrets, or guilt and I sleep beautifully at night.

From what I've read in news reports and seen on television, there was a great documentary on CBC covering the subject, it seems to be mostly eastern European women. As far as I know, there are few of them if any working in Mtl. Don't know about Toronto though.

I watch both part yesterday and I think the worse part was the French translation, even Remy Girard's voice is different and without emotion.

It mentionned that the character of Mira Sorvino speaks Russian, are there any subtitles in the original version, that is every character speaks the language he/she is supposed to to ?

tout ca pour dire que lorsque vous allez dans des salons de mssages ou les filles font tout pour 20 ou 40$.. vous encouragez ce traffic.... desfois vaut mieux payer plus cher et avoir nos quebecoises... des hommes achetent des salons a des asiatique ou des russes les mettent ici a montreal et les font dormir dans le salons... elles vivent la et ne peuvent plus sen sortir pensez y un peu....

Most of the service providers I met are just doing variants of the worlds oldest profession because that is how they can make good money... beats sitting at a sewing machine for most of them.
